Circa 1832 stone farmhouse on quiet river road. 30 minutes by car, 45 minutes by local bus to downtown Montreal. Guests have private cook's kitchen with stainless appliances, large living and dining room, three sunny bedrooms (2 queens with new Simmons mattresses and 1 single) and a fully renovated bathroom with washer dryer. Within walking or biking distance are cafés, shopping, canoe and kayak rentals, golf courses, a beach, public pool and loads of nature. The sunrises are gorgeous! This site offers the best of both downtown Montreal and a country holiday and is a great, relaxing alternative to small and noisy downtown properties. Families welcome. Come visit!

Fernand Seguin Nature Centre (x-c skiing trails), Ile St-Bernard nature centre and walking paths ( deer, rabbits, foxes), beaches, canoe and kayak rentals, bike path, Musée de Chateauguay, Polydium Sports Complex (pool, gym), loads of local alternative farmers, goat cheese producers, bakeries, a fish smoker, a summer ferry across the river to the historic city of Lachine where there are tons of bike paths as well, auctions, concerts, fly fishing and regular fishing are allowed on the river at certain times of the year.
