The Trapper Ranch Guest House is located on The Trapper Ranch in the tiny little hamlet of Shell (population 83) at the foot of The Big Horn Mountains. The Guest House is a log construction build in 1928 and renovated in 2005. It sits right next to Trapper Creek and offers great views in all directions. This property is part of The Hideout Lodge & Guest Ranch and is well maintained. The guest house is well maintained, nicely decorated and clean. Accross the property are the renovated remains of one of the first guest ranches in the area where amongst others Hemmingway, Roosevelt and Owen Wister vacationned.

The Guest House comes with 2 bathrooms, washer dryer, 3 bedrooms and a loft (2 beds), kitchen (no dishwasher), fridge, wirelness internet and phone, airco and heating system, open living room and deck looking at Chimney Rock,
The property is checked on a regular basis by the ranch maintenance and housekeeping staff who also look after the other properties on the ranch and The Hideout.

The area where the guest house is located is an attraction on its own. It was one of the first areas settled in the Shell Valley. With a population of 2 per sq / mile and The Big Horn National Forest in your backyard there is endles nature, mountains, streams, etc. to explore without being crowded.
Accross The Big Horn Mountains there is Sheridan which is a historial town, 1 hour to the East there is Cody at the East Entrance of Yellowstone National Park. The town of Shell is an interesting little hamlet and unspoilt by too many buildings. In town the owners of this property are also renovation the oldest and only rock building in the area The Shell Lodge and there is anothe rental property The Shell Cabin located on the south side of this building.
