Carson Mountain Cottage is a cozy retreat located high in the Blue
Ridge Mountains above Front Royal, just a short walk from the
Shenandoah National Park. Unwind in the bucolic ambiance of tall
trees and a mountain breeze while you enjoy our luxurious cottage
amenities. Between the gorgeous hardwood floors and magnificent
vaulted ceilings, you will find a blend of old world elegance, fine
art and modern conveniences. In sunlight; the forest will shade
you. In rain; the metal roof will serenade you.

Carson Mountain Cottage is now featuring the highly popular Nintendo
Wii gaming console! Don't feel like going outside to play? Stay
inside and play Tennis, Baseball, Golf, Bowling or Boxing in the
comfort of our cozy cottage.

The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen with hand-painted farm
sink, electric range, refrigerator, microwave, toaster and coffee
maker. The bathroom boasts a hand-painted sink, shower and
washer/dryer. All are surrounded by rich stone tiles on the walls and
a heated floor! In the livingroom you will find a large screen TV
with cable, DVD/VCR player, a gaming table, pellet stove, central
heating/air conditioning and a telephone. Relax on the large sofa
and enjoy the many antiques and original works of local and regional
art. Or simply settle in with one of many available books on the
surrounding area's history and culture. At bedtime, snuggle in under
our lovely quilt, hand made by Elizabeth Kunde of "Extraordinary
Memories".(See information below.)

Outside; find a spacious front porch with ceiling fans, a screen
enclosed gazebo, hammock, secluded and comfortably furnished stone
patio and grill; all nestled into the native plantlife.

Swedish Massage and Deep Tissue Therapy is available at Carson
Mountain Cottage. Indulge youself or surprise that special someone!
Please request an appointment when arranging your stay. 

Elizabeth Kunde is the owner/artist of "Extraordinary Memories." If
you'd like to "wrap yourself in memories," please inquire about her
workand contact information.

Hike the legendary Appalachian Trail (just a short walk from The
Cottage) or meander along rural roads to find the many surrounding
world-class wineries, fine restaurants, antique and art shops. Try
a canoe or kayak on the Shenandoah River or just pick a mountain
stream for some fishing. Visit nearby caverns, historic homes and
Civil War battlefields. Grab your camera and head for The Skyline
Drive's many scenic overlooks or just nap in the quiet mountain
solitude. By horseback or backpack; you'll find the peace you seek.

Standard yearly rates include:
$910 per week Saturday to Saturday.
$150 per night Monday through Thursday. Two night minimum.
$160 per night Friday through Sunday. Two night minimum.

Notes:

*Until confirmed, rates are subject to change without notice.  *Unfortunately we cannot allow pets at the cottage.

Check-out: By 11:00AM
Some flexibility may be accommodated on request!

A $200.00 refundable security deposit is required to hold a
reservation. When the deposit is received, your reservation is
officially confirmed!

On your arrival, the security deposit converts to a damage deposit
which is refunded within 30 days of check-out, provided there is no
damage to property and terms of the rental agreement are met.

Full payment for your stay is normally made upon arrival (cash, check
or money order). We also accept electronic payments via Paypal;
please contact us for details.

Cancellation Policy:

If you cancel more than 30 days before check-in, your security
deposit will be returned. If you cancel and have already paid for
your stay, we will refund your payment for lodging. Cancellations
due to inclement weather may be considered.
