Newly Renovated Beach House - 400' Private Beach in Rochester

Welcome to our totally renovated (2012), private beach house located on the sandy beaches of Lake Ontario.  This cozy, comfortable, and tastefully furnished 650+ sq. ft. beach house was built in 1900 and completely renovated in 2012.    Perfect getaway for a couple.   All the charm of a rustic cottage, with all the modern fixtures and amenities of a new home.  

Part of a sprawling five-acre estate, our beach house sits less than 50 feet from the water and features a gorgeous walk-out deck directly off living room.  Wake up each morning to the sound of waves lapping at the shore, and luxuriating in the blue-green waters of Lake Ontario from sunrise to sunset.   Walk the beach, or just sit with your toes in the sand.  

The beach is good, clean sand which we keep well maintained.   Even at high water levels, the beach is 50+ ft deep x 400 ft wide.   Water temperatures are low 70's in the summer.   The lake bottom is sandy and inviting with a nice sand bar too; you can wade out hundreds of feet before the depth goes over your head.

The beach house itself is like loft studio apartment.   The walls are the original, Floor-to-ceiling chestnut paneling.   The exposed roof boards are also chestnut, resulting in 25-ft high ceilings.  With the explosed roof beams and original fireplace, it's almost “chalet” feeling,  15-foot high french doors open out onto a large balcony that sits virtually on the water.   Tile flooring throughout.   Nouveau-style  kitchen and bath update the structure and afford it all the conveniences of modern-day living.   Leave the new doors and windows open to enjoy the lake breeze and sounds of the waves lapping outside, or take advantage of the central air if/when you want to take a break from the summer heat.

The location is private, but still close to everything.   We're centrally located 15-minutes from anywhere in Rochester.  An 18-hole Public golf course and tennis courts are walking distance.  Good running and biking trails are also close by.   For day trips, Finger-lakes wine country is 45 minute drive; Niagara Falls is 60 minutes; the Niagara-on-the-Lake wine country is 90 minutes.

Note that I accept credit cards and will participate in the Damage Waiver Protection program in lieu of security deposits.

Rates (available seasonally, Memorial Day - Labor Day):

• $1,600/week
• PGA Championship Week – August 5 – 11 - $2,500/week
• Maximum occupancy – 2 adults
• No pets

Rates do not include a one-time cleaning fee of $100, which will be applied in addition to the weekly rental rate.
