Enjoy your vacation in this spacious cottage in Waldoboro, Maine.
Situated on four acres on the Medomak River with 900 feet of water
views, it is a close drive to fine restaurants, art museums,
churches, sailing, hiking, Penobscot Bay and one of Maine's best
public golf courses. A local lobsterman has been engaged to
provide "today's catch " which you can cook on the back deck. The
cottage is a member of an association which shares a deep water dock
(where you can tie-up your boat), tennis court and fresh water
swimming pond.
There are 3 bedrooms (1 queen, 1 full bed and twins) with an
additional finished room over the garage for use as a rec room or
additional sleeping quarters for kids and/or baby sitter. The house
is comprised of a country kitchen, dining room, reading room,
living/sun room and deck with a beautiful water view.
New Kitchen, new full bath, new half bath, washer/dryer, dish
washer, living room, dining room, sitting room, front porch, back
deck over looking the river, outdoor shower and ping-pong table.
(Linens are not provided, no smoking in the house, and pets only
with prior approval)
• Samoset Golf Course. Just 20 minutes away in Rockland,
you’ll find one of Maine's finest golf courses - Samoset Resort.
• Sea kayaking / canoeing on the Medomak River. Right out the
front door, you’ll find many islands to explore including some owned
by the Audubon Society. You can rent kayaks and they will deliver to
the cottage.
• Farnsworth Art Museum in Rockland has three generations of
Wyeth paintings plus other American Artists of the 19th and 20th
century.
• Day trip to Monhegan Island leaves via ferry from New
Harbor. Here you can see local artists and enjoy fabulous hiking.

• Other day trips to well known seaports:
- 45 minutes to Camden - most pristine and well known
- 45 minutes to Rockport
- 30 minutes to Rockland
• Beautiful sailing day trips on Penobscot Bay. There are
many different options out of Rockland and Camden. Please feel free
to contact us for recommendations.
• Pemaquid Lighthouse in New Harbor. The harbor is famous for
lobsters, the light house and just walking about(ever seen the
movie "Message in a Bottle?”). We recommend going for the afternoon
and ending up at Shaw’s for some seafood!!!!
• Antiques and flea markets. They are everywhere! Pick up a
local paper or simply get in your car and explore!!!
• As the Cottage is a part of the Ice Pond Association, you
are able to use the tennis court, the deep water dock and the pond
to swim, fish or picnic.
