3 Bedroom house, hot tub and huge backyard on Golden Bear in South Lake Tahoe

This is a 3 bedroom 2 bath family home and as such has been decorated and stocked with my own family's comfort in mind.  This is not a "bare bones" rental but a very confortable and user friendly house.

The house is located on 4 lots off Pioneer Trail and is the largest in the neighborhood.  The back gate allows easy access and parking for boats on trailers, snowmobiles, and even an R.V.  It is especially good for children and pets.  The yard includes a small slope that previous renters have told up is perfect for a toddler's first experience in sliding down a snowy hill!  There is winter parking for two vehicles and Pioneer Trail is on a school bus route, so it is always plowed early on school days!

The house is full of skylights and vaulted ceilings creating a large, bright, and comfortable atmosphere.

We really like to cook, so we keep the Kitchen stocked with all of the equipment my family uses when we visit.  From the burr coffee grinder to the pressure cooker, to a full array of cooking utensils and pans, you can find everything you would need to cook a casual grilled dinner or a full holiday meal.  We also keep lots of plastic glasses and plates on hand for children and meals out on the deck.

There are 3 bedrooms, 2 queen beds, a full bed, a twin bed, and a pull out queen sofa bed so the house is versitile to accomodate individual couples, families, and everything in between.  There are always lots of big fluffy towels, extra blankets, and warm throws to curl up on the sofa.

The master bedroom has a queen bed, private bath, large closet, skylights, vaulted ceilings, and flat screen tv.

The second bedrooms has a queen bed,  large closet, and a flat screen televistion with DVD player.  The sliding glass door opens onto the deck.

The third bedroom has a full bed and a twin bed, large closet, and a flat screen tv.  The deck opens onto the deck.

The living room has a marble fireplace.  We do not provide fire wood, but it can be found at most of the stores in the area.  There is a leather sofa and loveseat, a queen pull out bed/couch, large high def flat screen tv with DVD and VCR, and an executive desk with a swivel chair.

The dining room has skylights, a vaulted ceiling, and a table that seats 8 with an additional 2 comfortable swivel chairs at the granite countertop.  The sliding glass door opens onto the deck and there is a lovely box window that looks out over the side yard.

The kitchen has a skylight, vaulted ceiling, box window, and granite countertops.  The stove is set into the counter that looks out into the dining room allowing the cook to socialise with guests seated at the bar or in the dining area.  There is a stove, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, micriwave and tons of smaller cooking appliances.  The washer and dryer are located in the hall

There is a hot tub on the deck.

Huge Backyard.  With back gate access to the yard all of your trailered vehicles can be parked off street in the summertime. 

There is a large deck on the back that runs the length of the house allowing access to the deck and hot tub from the living area and two of the bedrooms.  There is a gas grill, two picnic tables and both chairs and loungers.

All of the rooms have flat screen televisions.  The television in the living room is high def with wifi to stream video from Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon.  There is extended basic cable in every room.

High speed internet via Cable modem allows you to upload your vacation photos before you even get home.  The wifi lets you access the internet anywhere in the house. 

Heavenly Ski Resort - Claifornia Lodge - 12 minutes

Regan's Beach - Lake Tahoe- 10 minutes

Casinos at Stateline - 20 minutes

This property is centrally located to the beach, the slopes, and the casinos without being in the middle of town.  Walk out behind the house into the National forest for hiking, biking, and cross country skiing or walk down to trout creek or the Truckee river to fish. 

We are only a short drive to Camp Richardson, Emerald Bay, and Fallen Leaf Lake.  From the casual walker to the intrepid hiker, there is a local path within easy distance to the house.

Holidays are Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, and 4th of July.

Non holiday weeknights (Sunday-Thurs) - $200

Non holiday weekends (Friday-Sat) - $275

All Holidays - $375

There is a standing 10% discount for stays over 3 nights during the ski season Dec-March and for any weekday stay 3 days or longer year round. 

All prices include the 10% occupancy tax.

There is a $300 deposit for all stays and an additional $200 deposit for pets.  These deposits will be refunded after check out when the caretakers have competed their check of the property.

There is a $150 caretaker/re-stocking/spa fee.  We can not "waive" or "discount" this fee.  We use a local small business to take care of the caretaking for the house and they do an excellent job maintaining the house.  This is the fee that they charge us.

Payment by Check, Money Order, or Paypal.  Paypal allows you to either use a credit card or an electronic bank transfer.  All short notice rentals are paypal only.
