From the moment they step through the front door, our guests sense the relaxing enviroment, and begin to unwind. The tasteful furnishings, the beautiful river rock fireplace, french doors opening to the covered deck, and the outstanding view overlooking the river, captivate guests, and provide a wonderful opportunity to get away from it all. Firefly's location on the river is superb. The views are unspoiled, and there are no traffic sounds here - just the kerplunk of a jumping fish, the croak of a bullfrog, or birdsongs from among the redwoods. The river passing by is most frequently still, and lake-like, making it a wonderful summer swimming hole that goes gradually from the shallows to chest deep on the far side. This special location is wonderful for anyone wanting to enjoy water sports, including children. Those who want to stay dry can sit on the decks and be close enough to still be part of the fun.

Firefly Lodge has been carefully outfitted for your comfort and enjoyment, from oversized, high quality deck chairs to a hand-hewn log mantle, to the Marquis Spa with premium hydrotherapy features, every detail has been planned with our guests in mind. Firefly Lodge is the perfect place to unwind from the stresses of city life, and to enjoy the beautiful environment, both inside and outside the home. There are carefully chosen, original paintings of Sonoma County scenery, hand-cast bronze door hardware, high quality leather sofas, and premium pillow top mattresses.
WIFI (Broadband wireless internet) is provided free of charge. There is a fully equipped kitchen with a Bosch convection/gas range. There are high quality tableware, utensils, and cookware, a refrigerator with an icemaker, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, blender, mixer, and toaster. The stone fireplace in the living room draws friends together. There's a covered riverview deck for year round outdoor dining enjoyment, a round chaise lounge for two that makes a wonderful place to nap, and a Weber gas grill. Indoor table tennis is a fun pastime for every age, and there's a custom checker table, two kayaks, a library of nature and travel books, and a selection of movies and board games. There's a large custom dining table under an antler chandelier, that provides river views while dining. There is something for every age level, and interest. We provide guides of local wineries, restaurants (including menus and pricing), guides with things to do and places to take children. We even provide two fishing poles and information on local fishing.  (Licenses required for adults.)
Linens and towels are provided. There are five queen size beds, plus a log daybed with pop-up trundle unit stored beneath. Baby equipment, including a pack 'n play, high chair, and baby gates. For the well-being of our guests, we have encased all mattresses, box spings, and pillows in high quality allergy guard dust and bug proof enclosures, we clean with environmentally friendly, non-toxic cleaning products, and maintain a high standard of cleanliness.

Firefly Lodge is located along a scenic stretch of the Russian River, hidden away in the heart of Wine Country, and yet lies just outside Healdsburg (less than a mile to the city limits), with its charming shops, antique emporiums, art galleries, cinemas, acclaimed restauruants, and wine tasting rooms, all encircling the picturesque town plaza. Firefly Lodge is within easy reach of the more than 70 wineries in the region. Golf links are located one mile away.

Activities include visiting nearby wineries and tasting rooms, hot spring spas in nearby Calistoga, ancient redwood grove forests, sandy Pacific Ocean beaches near Bodega, Lake Sonoma, and the beautiful, world-class vineyards of Healdsburg's Alexander, Dry Creek, and Russian River Valleys.
Arrangements can be made for organized wine tours, bicycle and canoe rentals and day trips, hot air balloon rides, spa treatments, and limousine services. On site at Firefly Lodge are table tennis, a variety of board games, VCR and DVD players and three televisions. Wildlife watching, especially great blue heron watching in the early morning hours as the mist rises from the river, is hard to beat.

Besides the many opportunities for outdoor adventure, there are exciting choices in and around Healdsburg, inviting guests to be a part of the culture of a world class wine producing region. The calendar is full of special events hosted by prestigious wineries, there are musical evenings held in the plaza, open art galleries, fabulous choices for fine dining, and live theatre.
From Firefly Lodge's riverside deck guests may launch canoes, kayaks, swim, or sunbathe, in season.
Water recreational activities abound on this portion of the Russian River, with it's clear water and unspoiled beauty. (Located on a native salmon run, steelhead and coho salmon fishing are also possible.  Check licensing requirements.) The covered deck is perfect for relaxing, riverside barbequing and dining, and is a favored place for guests to unwind and enjoy great conversations and panoramic views.
