Canal and Private Courtyard Pool in a Modern Luxurious Setting

This Newly Renovated Designer Home is hidden behind a tall wall and 
an iron gate providing a tranquil oasis away from the city. It is 
hard to imagine that you are still in the centre of all the action 
of Fort Lauderdale while you lay floating in your warm pool counting 
the stars or sitting by your Canal counting the fish that jump.

Located on a dead end street, this is a safe and respected area. Yet 
it is just a few minutes away from everything you would expect to 
see in Florida…the ocean, shopping, golf and all the 
attractions!!!    
 
The “open concept” layout of the house centers around the Courtyard 
Pool in the front and the Canal in the back. It offers many 
different places to gather as a group and other areas for private 
reflection, both indoors and out. 

The pool and terrace areas are completely secluded surrounded by a 
tall wall and landscaped with huge pots, cascading flowers and palm 
trees

Comfortable chaise lounge beds and cushy seating are provided for 
quiet afternoon naps or cozy conversations in the shade of the 
vaulted ceiling and the breeze of two outdoor ceiling fans. Or take 
in the full sun any time of the day then dip in the pool for a 
refreshing cool-down. 

Lunch or dinner can be easily served by the pool at the outdoor 
dining table with gas barbeque and direct access to the kitchen.

This courtyard pool area provides central access to different parts 
of the property. 

Enter the house through a set of French Doors and into the main 
living area. Walk down a tropical garden path to sit by the Canal to 
watch sunset and fish jump. Or lounge in the Screened Sunroom, also 
overlooking the breezy Canal and gardens. There is a patio table in 
the Sunroom so it provides yet another dining area.  
Alternatively, access the kitchen or two bedrooms directly from the 
pool. The flow of the house is magnificent and provides easy living 
and entertaining. 

There are plenty of places for sun or shade all day long both 
poolside and at the canal and lots of places to settle into a good 
book or conversation. 


ABOUT THE HOUSE

Open the French doors off the Courtyard Pool Terrace to reveal a 
wonderful Open Concept Designer Home.

This modern renovation includes a stylish granite kitchen with all 
the culinary toys to assist the most discriminating chef: modern 
side by side fridge freezer/ice machine, stainless steel dishwasher, 
oven/stove and microwave.  A full size washer and dryer are in the 
Cabana room so there is no need to pack a lot of cloths. 

There are tall stools for casual breakfasts at the granite counter, 
and a large oak block table with white leather chairs that overlooks 
the pool for more formal dining.   Or eat on a glass garden table in 
the screened sunroom overlooking the Canal in a surround of up lit 
palms, flowers and a banana tree.  Here lingering in the breeze you 
can capture the aroma of the jasmine tree. There is also a lounge 
chair and rockers perfect for an afternoon book nook accompanied 
with frosty lemonade. 

The entertaining area centers around the wood burning fireplace.  
The living room is on one side, kitchen on the other. Dining room 
and sunroom complete the quadrant.  A large lofty leather sofa, 2 
rattan chairs with lots of pillows and a mahogany writing desk all 
sit in front of the fireplace on an area rug set on crisp white 
ceramic tiles.  

All bedrooms are large. There are three. One King with master 
ensuite bathroom including a large walk in shower, and two guest 
bedrooms each with Queen Beds. The house accommodates 6 people 
comfortably. The two guest rooms share the second bathroom with tub 
and shower.  The master bedroom and one guest room also go directly 
out to a garden walkway that leads to the pool (perfect to sneak out 
for a midnight dip!) 

There are two televisions, CD, DVD and VCR.  The house has central 
heat, air conditioning and ceiling fans in all the main rooms.

A circular drive provides parking for up to three cars.

ABOUT THE AREA

This is prime Fort Lauderdale.  Wilton Manors is a small city within 
the larger metropolis, and is surrounded by the Middle River 
featuring rows of Man-Made Canals.

The Middle River joins the Atlantic Ocean by way of the Intercoastal 
Waterway.

The house is on one of these canals in a very safe and friendly 
neighborhood.  It is located on a dead end street so there is very 
little street traffic. It is very quiet residential and protected by 
neighborhood watch.

Within a few minutes you are anywhere you need to be- this is a 
great location.  The Atlantic Ocean and some of the worlds’ best 
sandy beaches are 5 minutes away.  There is plenty of parking and 
the ocean shore is always are kept perfectly clean, monitored by 
lifeguards.  Water sport attractions or private more and secluded 
areas are available depending on which part of the beach you wander. 
Rent a chaise for the day or take one of our beach chairs and the 
cooler provided in the house.

The public beach is very active and has been newly restored, but 
there are a number of smaller more private beaches too, all along 
the coast.

Grocery Stores (Publix, Win Dixie, Whole Foods) are all nearby.  
Movies, Malls and Shopping of all types are available. Golf courses 
and driving ranges are all a short distance away.  

All the well known chain restaurants and attractions are but a few 
minutes away on US1 including CrispieCream, Blockbuster Video, 
Boston Market, Ruth Christies Steakhouse to name a few of hundreds. 

The main tourist street - Las Olas is 8 minutes away featuring 
galleries, fine dining and bars.  The beach strip is 5 minutes away 
for night time cruising.  The resort town of Lauderdale By The Sea 
is just 10 minutes north.  

For day excursions go to famous Boca Raton  (20 min. north),  South 
Beach-Miami and Lincoln Mall (45 min. south), Sawgrass Mills 
Discount Mall (2O minutes west) or the Everglades (30 min west).   
The science museum features an Imax theater, and the Art Gallery has 
ongoing exhibits that change.  Broadway visits the Broward Centre 
which is 8 minutes away.  Also don’t miss the old town RIVERWALK and 
the Cruise Ship Terminals.  Picnic or rollerblade in Hugh Taylor 
National Park watching the boats float by. 

There are wonderful special events all year round including the Air 
Show, the Christmas Boat and Light Parade down the Intercoastal, the 
Outdoor Art Weekend, the worlds largest Boat Show and the largest 
Flea Market anywhere everyday!!! There is always plenty to do and 
see and this house gives you great access to it all
