vacation rental description

This private cabin at the base of the mountain overlooks the beautiful Bristol Mountain Ski Resort.  With two living areas (each with fireplace) and large hot tub and outdoor private firepit, this is your getaway from the hussel and bussel of the big city!  Enjoy the deer from the upper deck as they graze across the front lawn each day.  With an abundance of shopping, hiking, biking, golfing, restaurants and wineries nearby, this is a place you can relax in quiet harmony or enjoy a social outing at your convenience. Directly across from the ski resort, come off of the ski slopes and slip into the hot tub for six to eight people.  Whatever season you enjoy most, this is the place to enjoy it.

Cabin Haeven

Review submitted: March 16, 2014   Date of arrival: March 13, 2014

Top Shelf Quality, recreation and value.
Without the doubt: the finest, trouble free, quality vacation cottage.
Fantastic Adirondack styled cabin, first class amenities, and a perfect getaway.
Kids are happy here: skiing around the corner, hot tub for après ski, Dave Ostrowski’s restaurant styled ski/rustic yet offering sophisticated fare (we had dill broiled haddock and scampi linguine). Locals are really welcoming towards Canadians, both on the hill and in the City.
Adults…, well, the fireplaces, the views, ambiance, slopes… Relaxation is fantastic. Really there is nothing to be stressed about. I must say we really decompressed. Fantastic shopping, ski gear galore sale at the SkiCompany (sfaff race the hill), and a heaven for foodies at Wegmans: ask for a loyalty card; get instant discount and a gift.
Ten out of ten rating. Owner is a great communicator, accommodating and reasonable. Greatly recommended.

Great Retreat

Review submitted: March 2, 2014   Date of arrival: February 14, 2014

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our first, of which we hope there will be many, stays at your beautiful log cabin in the heart of the Finger Lakes. The location is perfect for those who want easy access to Bristol Mountain for a ski holiday or just a relaxing get away in any of the four seasons. The cabin is great for two couples for a retreat. It also works very well for a family with the ability for the kids to have their own level away from the adults. The cabin is greatly appointed with many amenities to make it an easy getaway. We will gladly recommend your cabin to anyone that would like an independent opinion but are cautious of telling to many others to avoid allowing the secret to get out. Thank you again.

Amazing stay at the Log Cabin at Bristol Mountain

Review submitted: January 24, 2014   Date of arrival: January 8, 2014

Where to start! The Log Cabin was an amazing place to stay for our ski vacation at Bristol Mountain in Canandaigua, New York. It was less than 3 hours from Milton, Ontario, Canada - an easy drive.

It is exactly what you would hope for when you see "log cabin" advertised for rent - the decorations, down to every last detail, so perfectly suit it (think a Kleenex box holder in the form of a hand carved black bear, simply to start). The pictures on the website do not do the place justice. There are 2 gas fireplaces to warm yourself after a long day of skiing, and the hot tub was amazing. The cabin is well appointed, so when you bring your own food, you have everything you need for cooking. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds and bedding were very comfortable (and again, so beautifully furnished). The deck spans the entire front and side of the cabin, and the large windows in the main sitting area give a beautiful view of the ski hill, which is especially pretty when lit up for night skiing.

The skiing at Bristol Mountain was fantastic and with 3 children (6, 9 and 12) at various ages of skiing skill, it suited us perfectly. We were able to share lifts to a number of different hill types, and most times, skied the runs together. The lodge is also really nice, with great food at very fair prices.

I would highly recommend staying at the log cabin when visiting the area - I really can't say enough about how great our experience was.
