Vacation Rental Description

This 3200 sq. foot home sits on a 1/2 acre of VERY private land, 
surrounded only by trees, mountains, and the nearby Anahulu 
stream. It is a 5 minute drive or a short walk to some of the most 
beautiful beaches in the world! The bottom story (1600 sq ft) has 
private entrances, private patio with dining areas and grill, while 
the owners occupy the top story, close enough to ask for advice 
on where to eat, where to surf, where to go for fun! The views are 
beautiful and panoramic from inside the house and out - no 
matter where you look you will not see another house, only 
greenery! The house is at the end of a private dirt road well off 
the highway so there is no traffic noise, only the soft sound of the 
wind in the trees. The homeowner has a green thumb, so be 
prepared to be surrounded by lush landscaping and blooming 
orchids. This fully furnished home is perfect for romantic 
occasions, family vacations or holidays with friends. The home 
is brand new (completed in 1997).  Just 2 minutes from Historic 
Haleiwa Town (known for its country atmosphere, excellent 
restaurants and quaint shops, and the previous home of Bay 
Watch Hawai`i! We have views of both the sunrise and the 
sunset that will take your breath away. You can get away from it 
all or be in the heart of Waikiki in a quick 40 minutes. It really 
is 
the perfect vacation home. 

2 huge bedrooms including new queen-sized beds, and a 
queen-sized futon bed in the living room sleeps 6 adults 
comfortably. Children or other adults could sleep in parents 
rooms on an extra futon bed provided or in one of the living 
areas. The living room and one bedroom includes a cable 
TV/VCRs. A washer/dryer; mini kitchen (half refrigerator, stove 
top, sink, microwave, not to mention outside charcoal grill!), 1/2 
acre yard; LOTS of lanai space - one covered in front of the 
house that is perfect for barbequing or relaxing on the swing, 
and one that wraps around the side of the house which is perfect 
for sunbathing.  Feel the gentle tradewinds as you relax in the 
Jacuzzi
and listen to the island birds! A  fax machine is available in the
owner's house
for our business guests;  beach mats, boogie boards
fins, snorkels and masks, beach towels, coolers, board games 
are available for adults and children.

Activities and Attractions

Surf or just be a spectator at famous surfing spots, Velzyland, 
Backyards, Kammies and Sunset Beach just short drives away, 
and Haleiwa Ali'i Beach (Home of Bay Watch) is within walking 

distance. In the Winter, watch in amazement as the best big 
wave surfers toll surf 20+ feet swells. Between December and 
May, watch Humpback whales frolic in the ocean. Snorkel at 
Haleiwa Ali'i Beach or dive at Sharks Cove just a few miles away. 
Enjoy peaceful, private walks on the sandy beaches overlooking 
crystal, blue ocean, or on the mountain paths. Dine at great 
resturants in Haleiwa Town or at the variety of roadside eateries. 
Golf at Turtle Bay Hilton. Enjoy the quality tourist attractions.... 
Polynesian Cultural Center, Waimea Valley Park, Pupukea Heiau 
(ancient burial grounds)and many hiking trails, including some 
that begin at the house. The North Shore is also famous for its 
other water sports, including windsurfing, kayaking, water skiing, 
sailing, and horseback riding. Pretty much anything you want to 
do here, we can point you in the right direction!

Vacation Rental Rates

Daily rates are $150.00 plus tax for this spacious home (1600 sf 
and 1/2 acre yard) Best of all, the Secret Garden Retreat is only a 
short walk from the tropical blue South Pacific ocean. Daily rate 
of $150.00 is based on up to 4 person occupancy, add $10.00 per 
night for each additional person.  Children under 1 year who do not 
require a bed stay free.  Weekly rate of $1000. 
 All rents are due in-full thirty (30) days
prior to check-in.  If you cancel within thirty (30) days of check-in
your rent will be refunded (less a $100 handling fee) if the unit is
re-rented. A one cleaning fee of $100 is also charged.
