Casa Jerezana in Jerez de la Frontera - the real Spain in Andalucia

Casa JerezAna, built in 1890, is situated in the historical center
of Jerez de la Frontera. It is a classical townhouse, where building-
materials are dominated by wood, marble and exclusive tiles. 50 cm
thick walls keeps the heat out in the summer-time so that the house
stays cool. Everything you need is within walking distance.

5 bedrooms, each with an individual bathroom. Fully equipped kitchen
with fridge, washingmachine, dishwasher, microwave. Two dining-
rooms, one with an open fireplace, two sitting-rooms, one with an
open fireplace. Marblefloors throughout. Large, open patio with
abundance of plants and a live-in 19 year old turtle. Small roof
terrace.

Jerez de la Frontera represents the real Spain, with it's culture
and deeply rooted traditions fully intact. It is charming and open
to visitors, and still not marked by global tourism. It is also a
very safe city.

Jerez de la Frontera is the sherry-capitol of the world, with all
the major sherry-houses like Gonzales Byass, Harvey and Domecq
within the city-limits. Jerez de la Frotnera is also the home of the
royal school of equestrians, with their beautiful locally bred
Andalucian horses. And Jerez de la Frontera is one of the most
important city in Spain for flamenco-entusiasts. Here you also find
the Andalucian Insitute of Flamenco and several scholols both for
dancers, singers and guitar-players.

Ouside Jerez de la Frontera is the motor raceway which is used for
the world championship of roadracing in May each year. Close by is
one of Andalucias most beautiful golf-courses, at Hotel
Montecastillo.

Casa JerezAna and Jerez de la Frontera is also ideal for exploring
the rest of Andalucia. Within one hours drive (own car, bus or
train) you can reach Sevilla, Cadiz (Europe's oldest city), the
pueblo blancos Arcos de la Frontera and Vejer de la Frontera, Ronda
and El Puerto de Santa Maria, from where Christopher Columbus set
sail for America in 1492.

The beautiful sandy beaches of El Puerto de Santa Maria is only 11
km (15 - 20 minutes) away from Casa Jerezana. 25 minutes driving
will also take you to the fihing-port of San Lucar de Barrameda,
where you can take the boat into Coto Doñana National park, one of
Europes most facinating wetlands and wilderness-areas, where you can
see nearly half of Europe's bird-species.

From Jerez de la Frontera you can also make day-trips to Granada,
Marbella, Gibraltar, Portugal and Marocco.

Low season: September 1 to May 31: 20 euro per person per night.

High season: June 1 to August 31: 25 Euro per person per night.
