Vacation Rental Description

Experience the best of Maine in the charming village of Corea.   
Situated above the old general store and post office, The  
Postman's Loft overlooks the working harbor of this quiet fishing  
village on the Schoodic peninsula. 
     The spacious living area has wonderful views looking out over  
the harbor, so you can watch the sun rise across the islands in the  
morning, and later in the day watch the lobster boats come in from a  
day's haul.  The kitchen is fully equipped, so eat in, take a picnic  
to the shore, or enjoy the area's restaurans. 
     The loft has two bedrooms, one with a queen-size bed, the other  
with two twins, and one and one half baths.  Linens are provided.

Besides the expected, amenities provided include:

     Within a short drive are churches, a library, bank with ATM,  
grocery stores, an organic farm market, medical clinic, laundry, and  
a five and dime.  Bicycle, canoe and kayak rentals are also  
available  
nearby.

Activities and Attractions

There is plenty to see and do on the Schoodic peninsula,  
including hiking, swimming, kayaking, golfing, birdwatching, and  
fishing.  There are antique shops, art galleries, and beautifully  
scenic drives.   
     Venture north or south to enjoy more of the same as well as  
whale and puffin watching, theater and winery tours. Lighthouses dot  
the coast, Bar Harbor is a forty-five minute drive (or take the  
ferry from Winter Harbor), and it's only two hours to Canada.

Vacation Rental Rates

Rates are for seven days, checking in at 4:00 on Saturday, and  
out by 10:30 the following Saturday.  A 50% deposit is required at  
the time of booking, with the balance due 30 days prior to arrival.   
Rates are subject to a 7% Maine state sales tax. 
     June        $650.
