It is reverse living with the feel of being at sea on the top floor and living at waters edge on the bottom floor. The top floor has a huge deck facing west for sunset viewing. The lights of Atlantic City are appreciated at night from the hot tub. This is the most southwest home on the island where you can launch our kayaks to explore the John Forsythe Wildlife Preserve or the sedges across the bay. There is also a 60 foot deep water dock from which a boat can reach the inlet to the Atlantic Ocean within 10 minutes. The home is located with two other homes on its own private site pushing into Barnegat Bay. Downtown Beach Haven is minutes away by boat or car. The beach is a short walk out your back door. During the season a party boat makes several trips to Atlantic City daily and free casino chips are made available to the passengers. Vacation Rental AmenitiesThere are two kyyaks and two bikes. There is 60 foot dock with a floating dock for easy tie ups. Activities and AttractionsBeach Haven has Long Beach Island's only amusement area, along with many restaurants, nightclubs and great beaches. The town's historical district has many beautiful Victorian seaside houses. In town you will find many shops and restaurants including Bay Village and Schooner's Wharf, along with Fantasy Island Amusement Park and the Thundering Surf Water Slide. In the historical district, you'll find the Long Beach Island Historical Museum, The Surflight Theater, Veterans Bicentennial Park as well as the island's best beaches. You can also go back in time and savor the character of a late 19th century coastal resort town by taking a tour of buildings constructed before 1900. Each is marked with a white plaque inscribed in blue, "Bicentennial, Pre-1900." During July and August, The Alliance for a Living Ocean runs 3-hour eco-tours of the island that leaves from the COC (265 West 9th Street). One tour does the north half of the island while does the south. The Alliance also sponsors field trips and other special programs in the summer. The Chamber of Commerce sponsors an annual chowder cook-off in the fall. Beach Haven offers so much for all ages, it's a great place to enjoy yourself. Deep water fishing is minutes away or you can cast from your own backyard. The house sits on a old fishing haunt known to all the local fisherman.There are several bikes to use as you like. Tennis courts are located across the street. A small community park with swings and slides for small children is located on the water next to the tennis courts. This park has a beach and fenced in swim area. The house has high speed internet access.
