Vacation Rental Description

4 Bedroom Apartment.
  Sunny, cheery, newly renovated, roomy. In the heart of the village of Castine, cited as the most 
pristine of the ten most charming New England villages. Opposite the Post Office. 

On the doorstep of all village amenities; the shortest of walks to waterfront, golf, tennis, shops, 
restaurants, library, churches, walks around the charming harbor, peninsula, or nearby woods.  Swimming 
at sandy Backshore Beach, see photos.
New, fully-equipped kitchen, new tiled bathroom and new laundry with stacking washer dryer.
Car not necessary, but short day-trips to Acadia National Park or around Penobscot Bay are an hour 
away.  Exceptionally large fenced yard (half an acre), for relaxation, cookouts, children's play.

Vacation Rental Amenities

All linens and towels provided.
All new kitchen includes new appliances, and is eat-in size, 17x12.  Range, dishwasher, microwave, 
oven, refrig./freezer, coffee maker, coffee grinder, toaster, spices, all 
glassware/dinnerware/utensils, outdoor barbeque grille, Lobster Pot, iron & board, garden table and 
chairs.  Children welcome.  No pets.  No smoking indoors.  Occupancy 1-5.

TV, Cable TV, VCR, Radio, DVD, Books for adults and children, Videos.

BR1... Queen-sized bed;  BR2...Queen;   BR3...Full/Double;   BR4...Twin
Apt. is on second floor of ell, and so, not wheelchair-accessible.

Activities and Attractions

Local Activities:
    Most of all, Castine is a noted sailing center.  Other boating and water activities abound.  
Penobscot Bay/Castine Harbor are approx. 100 yards down Main Street.
9 Hole golf-course at the head of Main St.(walking distance) welcomes visitors.  Greens Fees apply.  
Golf Carts available.
Children and Adults welcome at Yacht club for sailing lessons and sailing.
Tennis available at the golf club. Cycling, fishing, wind-surfing, kayaking, scuba diving, antiquing, 
bird-watching, hiking, whale-watching nearby, Acadia National Park a short drive away, many other 
scenic drives around Penobscot Bay, several restaurants within walking distance, library, concerts, and 
a medical clinic on Court Street.

Vacation Rental Rates

Rates are weekly, but a savers rate is available for monthly rental.  See below.

June:   28 May--28 June.  $800 per week.  $2500 for the month of June.

July/August:  28 June--30 August.  $875 per week.  $2900 for either July or August.

Sept.  30 August--27 September.  $800 per week.  $2500 for the month of September.

Changeover day is always Saturday.  Out by 10 a.m., in whenever at 4p.m. or later.  7% state tax.
