Incredible! Great Owners!

Review submitted: August 14, 2013   Date of arrival: August 7, 2013

Preparing for this vacation, Debbie, the owner, was extremely easy to work with. She always responded to my emails promptly. When we arrived at the cabin, the look our 13 year old son and his friend gave(and my husband too) was priceless. I knew I had made the right decision with this cabin. The inside of the cabin was spotless, beautiful. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms large. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need.
We played on the river, roasted smores on the firepit. There are deer all over this resort. I loved it!! We bought deer feed at a feed and seed store (50lbs for $11, worth every penny) on the way to Apple Orchard Alley...where I got the best fried apple fritter..and fed the deer around the cabin everyday. We watched them through the huge wall windows. This family will be returning next year. Thanks Debbie, you were great prior to, during, and after our vacation.

Room with a view

Review submitted: June 11, 2013   Date of arrival: July 14, 2012

We have stayed in several cabins in Coosawattee River but this was our first time being on the river. After arriving and unpacking all four of us sat down by the river to listen to the peacefulness in the cool shade on the patio. The poured cement sidewalks make for a wonderful stroll even after a rain. No mud to track in. The driveway is easy to access with a gentle slope. The kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms have all be renovated for every comfort the visitor may need. By far our favorite was the picture window. All of us moved the chairs and turned to face the giant picture window facing the river every evening. We called it "Deer TV". We purchased a bag of dried corn and every morning and every night we placed corn outside on the ground. We had mamas with babies and even a buck with horns come visit. The neighbor next door said she was leaving for work and was surprised to see 15 deer bedded down laying under the trees by the cabin. We explained to her they were waiting for breakfast. The pictures we took were so amazing. Our kids didn't want to play video games, because watching the rabbits and the deer were too much fun. Owners may one day think of installing a automatic feeder.

This is a two story cabin with about 18 stairs. Master bedroom is downstairs, with a bedroom and the open loft upstairs. There is no privacy in the loft, so its best for children. The noise from downstairs tv and conversation in living room will most likely keep children from falling asleep if they are in loft.

We took the tubes and taught papa how to swim upstream in the river after you float down. The beds were so comfortable and we had plenty of hot water for six people to each have a shower. The hot tub was enjoyable, almost too hot for us Florida kids. We enjoyed the upstairs screened in patio when we got rain one morning. All four of us played cards and drank our coffee while listening to the rain and watching deer.
We enjoyed the grill and the crock pot. The coffee pot got used daily even twice most days. It was so relaxing and so fun to stay on the river. Next year my kids want to go to more flea markets, paint your pottery in town and of course to Burts Pumkins Patch in October. Wish we had thought of a picnic basket and a small cooler to pack when we went to Amicacola Falls. That was worth the $5.00 car pass. Great hike, great pictures.

Perfect cabin, great location

Review submitted: June 11, 2013   Date of arrival: June 4, 2013

I was in Ellijay for a combination of business and pleasure. This cabin was the perfect place to stay for both. Located very close to downtown Ellijay and much, much more comfortable than a hotel (comfy bed! nice big bathrooms with plenty of counter space), it was a perfect location for the business portion of my trip. Why stay in a hotel when you can enjoy a luxury cabin? :)

For the pleasure part of my journey, this cabin was a dream. So many places to relax and enjoy the beautiful wooded setting - the decks, the great room, the screened in porch. All well appointed with cozy furniture. The kitchen had everything we needed to make great meals (grocery store is an easy drive). Our main reason to stay in Ellijay was to enjoy the hiking on the Appalachian Trail. This cabin was the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day on the trail.
