Vacation Rental Description

We are Village Home #2    At The Boca Grande Club...

We are located at the northern portion of Boca Grande with the widest
white sandy beaches on the island. We are just a short 3 minute walk
out to the island's best beaches.

This is a NON-SMOKING HOME and PETS ARE NOT Permitted

We are intersted in swapping for a ski in/out property in Colordao
during Christmas week.. Although you could use our home during a
different week.

Please Note:... We No Longer Rent For Weekends Only... Please don't 
ask...

WE Only Rent For Periods of (7) Nights Minimum.
We will rent for periods less than (7) nights, but the charge will be 
at a one week rate.

Please Note: As with any transient rental property, circumstances such
as malfunctioning appliances, A/C, etc. could necessitate movement of
a guest and is beyond our control. The Boca Grande Club is a large
facility and the staff will make every effort to place you in a
similar rental property or place you in an upgraded property. 

Village Home #2 is a fully equipped three story - single family home.
It is located on the exclusive barrier island known as Boca
Grande/Gasparilla Island. Just steps to our private 62 acre white
sandy beach.

Since 1978, the Boca Grande Club has been a home, a vacation 
destination and an elegant tropical escape for members and guests who 
have been fortunate enough to find us. Once through our gates, you 
can leave your old life behind; here you will find life as you 
imagined it should be lived. Arise each morning to beautiful sunrises 
and take a walk along the miles of one of the most beautiful beaches 
in Florida. While walking you will soon discover that most of the 
company you come across with will be shore life. In the evening, 
return to our beach when the sun is declining and you will see one of 
the most beautiful sunsets you ever imagined. Who knows, you may even 
see the "Green Flash"!

The club offers many amenities and services all the way from fine 
dining to fitness and tennis. Accommodations at our property are 
available for rent, long term and short term. We offer a unique 
island experience to include a full service restaurant with tastes of 
seafood straight from our waters. We have 8 tennis courts directly on 
our property. Our pool facilities, fitness center, water activities 
and social calendar will add to your Florida experience. 

Boca Grande is a charming centralized village on 7-mile-long
Gasparilla Island, which is located between Fort Myers and Sarasota.
Access to Boca Grande in via a toll bridge which tends to keep the
island peaceful and quiet.

Legend has it that the infamous pirate Jose Gaspar once lived here 
in style, and the lure was then, as it is now, the wonderful weather 
and some of the world’s best tarpon fishing. 

The biggest event in Boca Grande is the annual “World’s Richest 
Tarpon Tournament," usually held the second week of July. Visitors 
can enjoy miles of beaches on the island, picnicking, fishing, 
swimming, shelling. Nature trails are available for hikers. 
Gasparilla Island State Recreational Area is the site of a still-
working, wooden U.S. Coast Guard lighthouse, built in 1890. 

Boca Grande has been referred to as a Florida version of Nantucket, 
where you’ll find upscale boutiques, art galleries and fine dining. 
This island is unique as you can operate golf carts on the public 
streets and on the golf cart paths throughout the entire island.

BICYCLING
Biking is an enjoyable way to see the island. For fun and exercise or 
a ride to town, rent one of our bikes, which are available half day, 
full day or weekly. A paved bike path follows the old seaboard 
coastline rail bed along the entire length of the island. See front 
desk for signing out.

GOLF CART RENTALS
If you don't feel up to biking, you can rent one of our golf carts 
and tour the island on four (small) wheels. While you're exploring be 
sure to visit our village for some great shopping opportunities.

SWIM AND FITNESS
Our facilities are state-of-the-art and include: 3 swimming pools, 
weight room, cardio machines; including treadmills, rowing machines, 
stationary bikes, and elliptical machines. After your workout enjoy a 
massage from our on-site massage therapist. We offer an on-site 
personal trainer, water aerobics classes, yoga and tennis lessons. 
Front desk will have the details for scheduling these during your 
stay.

All Instruction classes are offered from November 1 - April 30.

Water Aerobics Is a refreshing way to tone up your muscles in a 
gentle way! For a higher degree of resistance, you may purchase 
resistance equipment in our Pro-Shop. Classes offered in our main 
pool Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 9-10 a.m.

YOGA: We offer Yoga on every Monday & Wednesday in the Dunes Clubroom 
at 10:00 am - 11:00 a.m. Our experienced instructor can teach you to 
relax your mind and body.

PILATES: We offer Pilates and Classic Moves on Mondays, Wednesdays 
and Fridays in the Dunes Clubroom from 

2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. 

8 CLAY TENNIS COURTS: Enjoy the exclusive quality of our eight modern 
tennis courts, which are all clay. Two are lighted for night play. 
Enjoy our comprehensive tennis program offered by our Tennis 
Professionals, Jim Labinski and Drew Fairhusts, who are on-site from 
November 1 through April 30. 

TENNIS PRO SHOP: Operated seasonally and serviced by our on site 
tennis pro. Our Pro Shop offers a variety of apparel, sports 
equipment and beach amenities such as sunscreen, sunhats and beach 
towels. You can even get your racket re-strung at our pro shop 
located across our tennis court. 


BASKETBALL & VOLLEYBALL
You can sign out a ball at our front desk to use at our various 
courts at the playground area.

KAYAKING
Rent a kayak, available seasonally directly at our beach and enter 
the smooth blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico.

WIRELESS INTERNET ACCESS
Wireless Internet Access is available at no charge in our Dunes 
Clubroom as well as at the Cafe by the Pro Shop.

OUR DUNES CLUBROOM 
Designed to make every meeting or banquet a special one, the Dunes 
Clubroom is also equipped with a library for your enjoyment where we 
offer a range of books on the honor system.

FISHING
Our waters teem with plentiful game fish including flounder, pompano, 
snook, grouper, redfish, mangrove snapper, spotted trout, sheepshead, 
bluefish, kingfish, mackerel, and of course, in the spring and 
summer, the mighty tarpon.

THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE
Boca Grande Club also offers Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, 
and Sports Therapy Massage by a trained and established professional 
on your schedule. You may contact the front desk for information on 
scheduling a session.

HERB GARDEN
We offer a variety of herbs which we grow on property for use by our 
chef as well as all of our guests. You are welcome to snip fresh 
herbs such as basil, parsley and rosemary from our herb garden.

We would be most interested in exchanging/swapping homes for 
Christmas week at a Colorado Ski Resort. We also prefer ski-in/ski-
out properties. Will consider properties with a "very short" walk to 
the lifts. If you have a second/vacation home, we could also exchange 
and you could use our home on a date other than Christmas week if you
