Interests
Bathing Beach
Open daily from 11AM to 6PM everyday during the summer Beach
activities include shallow water swimming, deep water swimming,
springboard diving, and sliding down a water slide. After 6 PM the
beach can be used for beach volleyball. A lifeguard is present from
11 AM to 6 PM daily Swimming is not permitted when the lifeguard is
absent However, swimming at cottage at your own risk.
Admittance
The Lake is a private community. People come from California,
England, Texas, PA.,Canada to NY,Mass to stay here each year. While
staying at the lake you must abide
by the lake rules. Most of the rules are just common curtosy and
common sense items, including not distrubbing other cottage owners
or
rowdy behavior, following the 5 mph speed limit at the lake,.renters
can only use the lake
facilities during the
rental period days only. Please be respectful of home owners... they
are not fans of renters
Directions
From thuway RT90 from Buffalo get off at the batavia exit 48
left onto Oak street go to main street turn left on to Rt 33. Turn
left go 3 to 4 miles and turn right on horseshoe lake road. then
follow directions below onto east street. There are quickier back
roads but this is probably the simplest plus you will get to see a
little of Batavia. Most shopping in batavia is off main street take
a
right off of Oak Street instead of a left to go the cottage Kmart,
walmart, applebees, Bjs, Home Depot, Value, Lowe's being built,
Tops now Martins Super market etc
From new york city albany and rochester get off Leroy exit take rt
490 to bergin exit 2 to 3 minutes take a left towards Batavia on Rt
33 go approximately 12 minutes to horseshoe lake road a left hand
turn if you see a mobil station turn around half mile back you past
it then go to east street and take a right follow East street till
end approx 1to 2 minutes
From Buffalo Airport Take rt 90 Thruway to Batavia exit follow
directions above, or scenic drive through small towns turn left onto
Route 33 drive for 29 miles and
then turn right on the Horseshoe Lake Road. The lake will be seen on
your right side. From Batavia proceed east on Route 33 Main Street
for 3 miles then turn right on the Horseshoe Lake Road Private
planes can land at the Batavia Airport just a few minutes from the
Lake
Sorry No handicap access or heart patients - have to walk up & down
stairs to get to cottage on the lake.

Bigelow Creek which joins Black Creek before flowing into the
