Vacation Rental Description

Aloha & thank you for your interest in our oceanfront vacation 
rental, the Pukana La "Sunrise".  The  Pukana La is aN AIR-
CONDITIONED UNIT located in Hale Koolau, a family owned & operated 
group of ocean & beach front vacation rental homes in Honolulu, 
Hawaii located in the fishing town of 
Hauula on Oahu's North Shore near the Polynesian Cultural Center, 
Turtle Bay, Kualoa Ranch, and many other wonderful Oahu attractions. 
We are located approximately 45 minutes from Honolulu International 
Airport on the North East coast of Oahu; where the Ko’olau Mountains 
touch the Pacific Ocean. Our community of single family homes, small 
shops, and quaint restaurants is very different from the high rise 
retail/ tourist center of Waikiki. With hiking trails and unspoiled 
reefs, we offer a glimpse of the Oahu of yesteryear with convenient 
access to the night life and modern pleasures of Honolulu & Waikiki.

Vacation Rental Amenities

The Pukana la is an AIR-CONDITIONED, completely remodeled 
and updated "Hawaiian style" 
cottage circa 1930s with a dramatic "wall of windows" in the main 
living area overlooking the ocean and Hauula Bay. This is a spacious 
(1200+ sf living area) two bedroom, one bath home with porcelain 
tile floors throughout.  The Pukana La features a completely 
remodeled (2006) modern 
and open kitchen with granite countertops, sealed top stove/range, 
dishwasher, microwave, 
fridge, and all the cooking utensils you need to prepare complete 
meals.  The kitchen opens to the living area with a convenient 
breakfast bar/nook while enjoying direct ocean views. The living 
area is richly decorated with warm tropical & plantation style 
furniture and also has wrap-around breath-taking ocean views.  There 
is a queen size sleeper sofa in the living room. In 
the dining room area the original red wood beams have been exposed 
and creative track lighting illuminates the ceiling. The master 
suite has tranquil garden views and features an intricately hand 
carved queen size bedroom set.  The second bedroom also has a queen 
size bed and heavy teak and tropical furniture for an elegant feel.  
All areas of the home have tropical ceiling fans, however they are 
rarely necessary as this home enjoys wonderful ocean breezes year 
around.

Activities and Attractions

Enjoy relaxing on the direct ocean front deck which opens up to the 
blue South Pacific Ocean only 20 feet away.  Your private deck area 
has an outdoor dining table with seating for six. There is plenty of 
area for sunbathing on the beach or on the grassy yard. Relax and 
watch spectacular sunrises while soaking in a nearby hot tub. Stroll 
down the beach to the Hauula beach park 
and coral preserve for some great snorkeling and swimming or take 
our ocean kayaks out for some adventure. Close by are world famous 
North Shore attractions such as the Hauula hiking trails & preserve, 
Polynesian Cultural Center, Turtle Bay Resort & Golf, Brigham Young 
University, Sunset Beach, Waimea Bay, Kualoa Ranch and the last 
unspoiled "Hawaiian" style towns on Oahu. Come enjoy your Hawaii 
vacation directly on the beach with this North Shore oceanfront 
vacation home.

gaps in calendar.  Inquire for more details.
*A 7 night minimum is required for popular holidays like 4th of 
July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, etc.  Please
