vacation rental description

Nothin’ But Views is located high up the mountain at Legacy Mountain Resort. As you enter Legacy resort and drive up the mountain, you will feel a sense of excitement. It will not be a frightened excitement caused by the roadway. The roadway in Legacy Mountain resort is wide, well cared for and easy to navigate. The excitement you feel will be caused by the multi-level vistas all around you. While at Nothin’ But Views, you will enjoy panoramic views of Mount LeConte. The workmanship of the cabin includes luxuries such as cathedral ceilings, hard wood floors in the living room and dining room and tile in the kitchen and bathrooms.  The cabin has tongue and groove walls and ceilings throughout. The dining and living rooms have an open floor plan. There is a private king size master suite on each of the two floors. There is also a loft with two twin beds serving as a third bedroom.

The cabin has many amenities for your entertainment. Downstairs you will find a great room with a pool table, air hockey, a 46” flat screen TV, Wii and an Xbox 360 gaming system. Nothin’ But Views has Bose Home Theater Surround Sound. The hot tub is on the lower level deck. You can enjoy the hot tub while watching TV. The cabin is equipped with DVD players in each bedroom and a blue ray DVD player in the living room.

If it’s a relaxing vacation you are after, Legacy Mountain Resort offers many amenities. Just a short distance up the mountain is a conference center. There you will find a pool, sauna, steam room, picnic pavilion and a work out facility. Nothin’ But Views is located in a cul-de-sac within walking distance of these resort amenities.

If it is adventure you are after, Legacy Mountain Ziplines has the longest zip line in the country. They have a canopy tour which lasts around 2 1/2 hours. You will experience all 6 of ‘Legacy Mountain Zipline’s’ exciting zip lines that range from 450 to 3,400 feet long!

When it is time to prepare your meals, the cabin has a full size kitchen that has everything you need to prepare your meal - except the food. The modern appliances and well laid out design of the galley kitchen make meal time an easy and enjoyable experience. Why not enjoy your meal at the dining room table, which has seating for six, while taking in the vistas through one of the cabin’s many large glass windows.

Legacy Mountain Resort is approximately 13 miles from downtown Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park (utilizing the back roads to avoid traffic) and about 6 1/2 miles from Dollywood and downtown Pigeon Forge.

activities and attractions in Pigeon Forge Tennessee

Shows in Pigeon Forge
Museums:

The Titanic Museum is expensive but interesting. I would recommend this for the older children and adults.

The Wonderworks museum is an interactive hands on museum for the entire family.  It is geared toward children, but we ended up having a great time ourselves.

Dinner shows:

The Dixie Stampede is good for the whole family.  You sit around a big arena and watch the show while they serve you your dinner.  Really neat!

The Lumber Jack Feud, although real authentic lumberjack action, is not your ordinary show. With competing ESPN Lumberjack athletes, zip lines, draft horses, TimberDogs and gut-bustin’ comedy, it will have your family on the edge of their seats! This ain't no song and dance show! Taking place in a new 10 million dollar arena, its axe swinging, log rolling, tree climbing, chainsaw carving action will offer an experience unlike anything else in the
.
Smoky Mountains!
Roaring Fork Motor Nature Tour:
On this scenic drive into the foothills of the Smokies you will see virgin forests - clear, cascading streams - and vestiges of pioneer farms. A hiking trail leads to Grotto Falls and Mt. LeConte. Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail is a ONE-WAY loop road beginning here and ending in Gatlinburg. Bear sightings very possible!!!

Cades Cove:
This is an eleven mile driving loop that has authentic homesteads, churches, gristmills, blacksmith shop, etc. Interesting and worth the trip. Plenty of wild life and possible bear sightings.  You can join in a ranger led talk at Cades Cove.  I always find these ranger led talks informative and educational.  I think I enjoy these talks more than the kids.

Clingmans Dome
Clingsmans Dome is the highest point in the park and the whole east coast. On a clear day it has a 360 degree view of the park and surrounding states.

Good Eats in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg
My favorite restaurant is Alamo Steak House, expensive but good. My wife likes No Way Jose. A good breakfast place is the Red Rooster and the pancake house at traffic light #10.   If you are really hungry, the Wood Grill Buffet is a great place to fill up for the day.  They have everything from pizza to Chinese Cuisine.  This is at traffic light number 1 in Pigeon Forge.  You can not go wrong in Pigeon Forge.  There are lots of places to eat in the area.

Outdoor activities:

There are many horseback riding places close to the cabin.
Another activity you may enjoy is White Water Rafting. I have not rafted there before but the reviews seem to have very positive feed back.

Moonshine distillery in Gatlinburg is pretty cool. History of moonshine including the nascar connection, moonshine making view windows, actual moonshine transport vehicles, live music and of course many different kinds of moonshine with free taste testing.

Last but not least you have Dollywood Theme Park.  Dollywood is about a fifteen minute drive from the cabin. The Park is good for the whole family and will take at least a whole day.

Great Place to Unwind

Review submitted: April 7, 2014   Date of arrival: March 20, 2014

My husband and I took our first trip to Tennessee for our 27th wedding anniversary! What a wonderful place to stay. So convenient to Cades Cove, Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Unwinding in the evening with some "gaming", i.e. air hockey, pool, and "golf". Then a dip in the hot tub. Beautiful view from the deck. We really enjoyed our stay. Can't wait to visit again.

Recommended for: sight seeing, romantic getaway

Owners response: I am so glad you enjoyed your stay. One of the reasons we picked "Nothin' But Views" (besides the gorgeous view) is because of its location. It is so convenient to everything. An added bonus is the Arts and Crafts Community which is just down the road. Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review. And congratulations on your anniversary.

Exceptional Trip!

Review submitted: March 11, 2014   Date of arrival: May 7, 2013

What a spectacular cabin and view of the Great Smokey Mountains! The cabin was very comfortable and had lots to do for the teenagers! We loved the hot tub and enjoyed evenings on the deck soaking in the bubbles and the view of the mountains! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals. You were very helpful in making our vacation a success! Thank you for the attraction suggestions! Highlights were Gatlinburg and Cades Cove! Thanks again and we will return!

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sight seeing, romantic getaway

Owners response: We are so glad you had a great vacation. We strive to make every guests stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. We try to think of what we would like on our vacation and include those things in the cabin. The attractions and day trips were something I was looking up before we came one time and decided it would be helpful for all our guests to have as well. I am so glad you found it helpful. Thank you for taking the time to write a review.

Simply Amazing!!!!

Review submitted: February 19, 2014   Date of arrival: February 13, 2014

My family and i spent valentines weekend and we enjoyed every single second of our stay. The cabin is wonderful and has everything you might need. The view is amazing, we were in awe. The drive to pigeon forge was no more than 10 mins and there are small stores on the way in case you need anything last minute. Gatlingburg is about 30 mins away and also highly recommended! They have many attractions specially if your traveling with children.
