living space. Each unit offers 2 large bedrooms, one full bath and a
fold-out sofa in the living room. Gracious living-dining areas for
charming family meals and entertaining. Tastefully furnished,
gorgeous fireplace and hardwood floors add to the warmth of your
stay.
Each unit hosts an updated full kitchen and appliances to allow
comfortable dining in total convenience. Relaxing outdoor space and
courtyard provides the comfort of a tranquil ambiance in the heart

1007 E Street SE, Capitol Hill is in the Eastern Market
neighborhood, off Pennsylvania Avenue. A 2 block walk to the
Eastern Market metro and revitalized 8th Street Corridor hosting
many new, trendy restaurants. This perfect location provides many
walking destinations including the Shakespeare Theatre, Supreme
Court, Library of Congress, U.S. Capitol, Metro, fine dining &
entertainment venues.

Great location

Our family rented both units and it provided us plenty of room and space. Small children stayed in the lower unit and enjoyed playing in the courtyard. We appreciated the location of the house with the option of walking or catching the metro and we would definitely rent this house on a future trip to D.C.

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sight seeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway

Good location but shabby amenities

Everything from the hole in the plaster in the bathroom, shabby bed linens, and rooms to go furniture did not live up to the photos in the listing. Would not rent this condo on our next trip to Washington.

Recommended for: sight seeing

Owners response: We're sorry that this guest wasn't 100% satisfied with their stay, that is our goal for every guest. We do appreciate the heads up on this and only wish we were given notice during this guests stay, or upon his arrival, so we would have been able to address his concern in the moment.

We do change out our linens in between each guests stay and our cleaning service is normally very diligent about letting us know when something needs replaced, but obviously it fell through the cracks here. We're revisiting with them our expectation that linens be replaced before they become worn.

As for the "hole" in the plaster, that was the toilet paper dispenser that the previous guest knocked out of the wall. We had it scheduled to be repaired after this guest checked out, so as not to disturb their stay. We obviously should have let them know about it in advance.

Regarding the "Rooms to Go" furniture comment, I'm not sure how to respond to that. We're sorry that this furniture didn't meet his standards, they are actually high-end Cort Furniture (not "Rooms to Go") specifically designed for the heavy use a vacation rental receives.

This place is awesome

Spent 4 nights in DC with 3 friends. We rented the entire unit. Everything is as listed. The location was fantastic. The neighborhood is the best. Went to several bars and eateries and found all to be great. Could not ask for a better location than this. Short 20 minute walk to the Capitol. No need for a car if you rent this place. The accommodations were vetry comfortable and clean. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to stay in DC.
