This home is beautiful, warm and welcoming but there are lots of great
homes on the Outer Banks. This home's unique & spectacular location so
close to the ocean is what makes it the perfect vacation spot. It's the best of the Outer
Banks in the seclusion of your own private resort. Wake in the morning
and enjoy coffee on the deck while gazing at the ocean. Take just a
few steps (we counted, it's literally 200 footsteps from our door to
the beach) and you're in the
ocean. Spend hours relaxing in the private
pool which is completely surrounded by the pine trees of the maritime
forest. Play foosball in the spacious rec room. Fly kites on the
private beach at dusk. Every minute is a family fun fantasy.
This wonderful oceanside home in historic and quaint Corolla Village
has panoramic, unobstructed, ocean and lighthouse views that are
guaranteed to thrill you. (Family groups only, please.) The home is
just 4 houses from the beach--about 200 feet--a 1-minute stroll from
your door with no streets to cross.
There are 6 bedrooms -- 2 Masters with Queen beds and private baths,
one with jacuzzi tub. Those are located on separate levels from the
rest of the house for utmost privacy and quiet. The middle level has 1
bedroom with Queen bed, one with duo-bunk that sleeps 4 people, and
one with daybed that sleeps 2. The first level has one with bunk beds
that sleep 2. On the top level, the spacious Great Room has a
fully-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, dining seating for 14 guests,
living room with gas fireplace, TV with DVD player and stereo and it
leads out to wrap-around decks with a screened-in porch which has
dining seating around a picnic table.
There's a terrific recreation room with arcade-quality foosball table,
wet bar, mini fridge, microwave & TV with DVD player. French doors
lead out to pool and grill area. The house includes all linens,
laundry facilities, charcoal grill, beach chairs, private hot tub
with stunning views (especially fantastic at night), fenced-in private
pool, enclosed outdoor shower, and municipal water (not well water).
The surrounding maritime forest (not found anywhere else on the Outer
Banks) provides privacy while swimming in the private pool or sunning
on the decks or patio. The quaint dirt road is accessible to all
vehicles, but it has only a few homes so you get the peace and quiet
of an almost private beach with direct access. (Dogs allowed for an
additional $250 non-refundable fee.) There isn't another property like
this on the Outer Banks. And it's a bargain because you rent it
directly from us and not from a management company so you pay no extra
fees.
The location is ideal--so close to the ocean, nestled in the pine
trees and also very near shopping and dining. (The Corolla Light Town
Center is 2 blocks from the house) But it feels far from the crowds,
tucked away in the only remaining maritime forest on the Northern
Outer Banks. The air-conditioned home has unobstructed ocean views
that are breathtaking.
