Pepe'ekeo Plantation Home on Hamakua Heritage Coast in Hilo

Welcome to our gracious family home. Built in the 1920’s, this
fully
restored, 3000 square foot home can be your “home away from home”
during your vacation
on Hawaii’s Big Island.

Enjoy rural accommodations with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean
and Mauna Kea, eight miles north of Hilo on the scenic Hamakua
Heritage Coast, in the old sugar plantation village of Pepe’ekeo.
This location is within easy driving distance of the Volcano, North
Kohala with its outstanding white sand beaches, and Kailua-Kona.

Our home is set on two acres of lush, tropical vegetation and mature
fruit trees. It can accommodate up to ten people. There are four
spacious bedrooms with ceiling fans and built-in dressers. Two
bedrooms have double beds and two bedrooms have twin beds, with an
extra sleeping futon in the “sun parlor.” There is one full bath
and
one half-bath, with a second full bath in the basement.

Relax and enjoy the view of farmlands and the Pacific Ocean in the
comfortable living room or adjacent “sun parlor.” Next door is a
local landmark, Low Store, in a building originally built as a gas
station in the 1920’s, and now converted into a convenience store
and
fruit stand, where you can purchase many necessities, including
fresh, locally grown tropical fruits.

Our fully equipped kitchen includes a refrigerator with ice-maker,
range, dishwasher, disposal, water treatment system, microwave,
toaster, silverware, dishes, pots and pans, and everything else
needed to prepare meals.

All linens, bedding, and towels are provided. A washer and dryer
are
located in the basement.

Also, cable TV, VCR, and telephone (local calls only; use phone card
for long distance).

We are just a short drive to the picturesque city of Hilo, many
botanical gardens, Akaka Falls, and the beautiful Hamakua coastline,
with its lush valleys and waterfalls.

We are also within easy driving distance to most Big Island
attractions.

$150/night for up to four people.
$15/night for each additional person.
Minimum stay 3 nights.

50% deposit due within 10 days to confirm reservation. Balance due
upon arrival. Cancellation must be made 30 days prior to your stay
for a full refund less $150 cancellation fee.
