New Riverfront Fishing Cottage- Fishing, Hunting! in Gunnison

Brand new fishing cottage! Called the "Tip of the Island".
Beautifully decorated, hidden among the trees with the Gunnison
river on both sides.
You can throw a line in from either bank. We're probably talking
about over 200 feet of private river front property. (But bring
waders for the rest of the river!)
Skiing in Crested Butte is only 35 minutes away and you'll never get
a place like this for $1200/week in Crested Butte!
There are 2 queen beds plus a comfortable pullout queen couch. The
home is custom-built of cedar siding with lots of windows and a
large redwood deck just for sittin'. Fully furnished.
Located just outside of Gunnison on Dos Rios Island, 30 min. from
Crested Butte, and 5 min. from the Gunnison International Airport.
The Gunnison is famous for its excellent fly fishing and
bait & spinner trout fishing. From your charming secluded "tree
house" location, the Gunnison River flows by you on both sides.
You'll enjoy the natural stereo sound of the river's main branch in
your kitchen and living room windows and the west branch from your
two bedroom windows.
Right next to the Dos Rios Golf Course (actually, between the Front
and Back 9! Plenty of water, trees and sand enhance this well-
established, mountain course. It's a great course with plenty of
difficulty and a par 72 ranking. A round of golf only costs $65 per
person.
The Gunnison River is the main tributary that feeds the largest
reservoir in Colorado, Blue Mesa Lake, which is just nine miles west
of the property, offering all kinds of fishing (Mackinaw, German
Brown and Rainbow Trout and Kokanee Salmon.) Sailing, waterskiing,
jet skiing, parasailing and beaching are popular.
Gunnison County is over 85% National Forest or Wilderness area.
Local outfitters (for e.g. Tenderfoout Outfitters and Lazy FBar)
will take you for the hunt of your dreams. The unique Gunnison
Country is a sportsman's paradise with trophy elk and deer hunting.
There is lots of wildlife around the property including deer, red
fox, rabbits, eagles, mink,... and sometimes an occasional bear
wanders by. In the summertime there's lots of kayaking, canoeing and
rafting on the river - much of it organized from the Gunnison White
Water River Park just 1/2 mile upstream. Please contact me to get

Mountain biking is everywhere - but the Hartman Rocks Recreational
Area, 3 miles away, is famous. Several hundred miles of trails can
be
explored from your bicycle, dirt bike, or just hiking. Rope climbing
enthusiasts go there too.

skiing at Crested Butte Mountain Resort in the winter time, live
theatre (tons! ask me more about that...), waterskiing, windsurfing,
etc etc.

Summer:(May 1-September 30)(5 night minimum)

Winter: (October 1-Apr.30) $150/night (with a 3 night minimum)
$960/week. $80 cleaning fee.
We prefer a limit of 4 adults and one child.
Please plan to park only one car on our tiny island!
