Activities and Attractions

BEACHES:	 
This Mediterranean Villa is only minutes away from a beautiful  
bike/walking path to Salt Creek Beach, one of the most beautiful  
beaches in the area.  This beach is shared by those who stay at the  
Ritz Carlton/Laguna Niguel, the St. Regis Resort,  two 5 star  
resorts, as well as by the public.  You are also very close to the  
popular Dohaney Beach, used by surfers.  Of course, you may also  
choose to find sun at the many other beaches from San Diego north to  
Los Angeles which include Newport Beach and Laguna Beach. 
 
 
Golf: 
If you are a golfer, you will find some of the most challenging and  
beautiful courses in Southern California.  You can literally walk to  
one of the more picturesque courses, the Links at Monarch Beach,  
from the front door of the Villa. This course’s clubhouse  
is located within the St Regis Resort directly across Niguel Road.    
 
Other area golf courses include: Coyote Hills Golf Course, Oak Creek  
Golf Club, Pelican Hill Golf Club, San Juan Hills Golf Club, San  
Clemente Golf Course, Shorecliff Golf Course, Strawberry Farms Golf  
Course and Tustin Ranch Golf Club.  
 
 
Tennis: 
If you enjoy playing Tennis, you will be within walking distance to  
the Tennis Club at the Tennis Villas, located on Niguel Rd.  The  
Tennis Club provides six hard and two clay courts for play from 6am  
to 8pm, Monday through Friday, and from 7 am to 8 pm on Saturday and  
Sunday.   
 
 
Other Points of Interest: 
Monarch Beach offers easy access to attractions including Disneyland,  
Disney’s new California Adventure, Knotts Berry Farm, Universal  
Studios, Hollywood, Getty Museum, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Sea  
World, Legoland, San Diego Zoo, and Wild Animal Park.   
 
A short 5 minute drive away is the small beach town of Laguna Beach  
where you can shop or walk through beach parks and galleries.   
Laguna Beach, famous for its Artist’s Colony is immediately north of  
Monarch Beach.  It is home to the Pageant of the Masters, Sawdust  
Festival and a Festival of the Arts.  You are also only 20 minutes  
from Newport Beach.    
 
Dana Point Harbor is home to 2500 Yachts and has over 50 shops and  
outdoor patio areas for eating and relaxing.  Dana Point is also the  
home of the Ocean Institute, the Festival of the Whales, the Tall  
Ships Festival and a world renowned yearly Blues Festival.  Dana  
Point Marina offers daily cruises to Catalina Island, whale-watching  
trips, sportfishing expeditions, Jet Ski and boat rentals.
