Vacation Rental Description

This is not a Timeshare this is a Physician's Private Luxury  
Vacation Home. You can enjoy a weeks vacation in this beautifully  
furnished, single story home located in the upscale Poipu Kai Resort  
and enjoy the best of both worlds; the privacy of this superbly  
appointed 2100 sq.ft. vacation home and the availability of the many  
amenities this resort has to offer. 
 
Furnished in an exquisite island-Oriental motif, this 3 bedroom 2.5  
bath home (Sleeps 6) boasts many decorator delights. An oversized,  
black marble sunken tub and shower off the master suite, top-of-the- 
line kitchen appliances, an entertainment center, and the tropical  
garden lanai covered with sweet-smelling jasmine, are just a few of  
the special offerings of this home. 
 
There's a washer/dryer, Plenty of extra linens, and beach towels.  
Maid service is not provided. Enjoy the CD player, DVD Player, VCR,  
Cable TV's, Gas Barbecue Grill, and private phone we even have a  
high speed cable connection available for your laptop. There are  
tropical breezes, and ceiling fans throughout to keep you cool; no  
a/c. The master bedroom has a king bed. A queen in bedroom #2 with 2  
twins in bedroom #3.

Vacation Rental Amenities

The Poipu Kai Resort offers nine tennis courts, a gated swimming  
pool and spa, and 24 hour security on site. The Hyatt Regency Hotel  
and the Poipu Bay Resort golf course are just minutes away.  
Shipwreck Beach is to the east and Poipu Beach and Brennecke's Beach  
are to the west, and it is joined by wide open green belts. All  
beaches are just a few minutes walk away. Poipu Beach was recently  
rated the #1 Beach in the US. It has fantastic snokeling among other  
things and Brennecke's Beach is a world-famous body-surfing beach.

Helicopter Tours

Hiking 
 
Hiking opportunities are plentiful on Kauai. One of the best hikes  
in the Poipu area begins at Shipwreck Beach. Heading east on Poipu  
Road, at the first road past the Hyatt Hotel, turn right on Ainako  
Road toward the Poipu Bay Golf Course and park at the beach. Walk  
east along the sand dunes and follow the coast until you come to the  
end, Maha'lepu Beach. This is a very special place on Kauai with  
unique sand dunes, native and rare plants, sea birds, and fabulous  
scenery. Please remember to respect the distinctive flora, fauna and  
archaeological aspects of this beautiful place.  
 
Horseback Riding  
 
Experience Kauai on horseback! Whether you're an expert horse person  
or a novice, you'll find a number of riding stables with something  
for everyone. CJM Stables in Poipu offers a variety of small  
personalized group tours. You'll see picturesque coastal views and  
spectacular mountain scenery while experienced guides share ancient  
and historic Hawaiian legends along with the local lore of this  
rugged and panoramic island. They'll take you into Hidden Valley,  
past secluded secret beaches, on breakfast rides and beach-swim- 
picnic rides. Even mini rodeos are available!  
 
Golf  
 
Championship golf is found at both the Kiahuna Golf Club and the  
Poipu Bay Resort Golf Club which are operating daily and open to the  
public. Golfers will find a total of 36 holes of spectacular golf  
between both courses designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. The Kiahuna  
Golf Club is a par 70, 6366 yard course, situated in the heart of  
Poipu. The Poipu Bay Resort Golf Club, home of the 1998 PGA Grand  
Slam, is a par 72, 6959 yard oceanfront course located at the  
eastern side of Poipu.  
 
Tennis  
 
Tennis players find an assortment of courts available at each of our  
condominiums except except Poipu Makai, and Prince Kuhio. At Nihi  
Kai Villas, Waikomo Stream Villas, The Poipu Crater Resort, Lawai  
Beach Resort, The Kiahuna Plantation, the Makahuena and at Poipu Kai  
Resort tennis is free. Racquets can be rented for $5/day at the  
front desks at Nihi Kai Villas and Waikomo Stream Villas.  
 
Fitness & Meditation  
 
For those who don't wish to spend their vacation exercising indoors,  
there are a variety of classes given locally for developing your  
mind, body and spirit. Joy from Yoga & Fitness in Paradise, offers  
morning yoga classes five times a week, right on the beautiful sandy  
beaches of Poipu. Enjoy group or private lessons, personal fitness  
training, yoga & fitness classes for athletes, meditation &  
relaxation techniques and reflective walks that take you along  
breathtaking views of the coastline and mountains to pristine  
waterfalls.

Luau

tradition of the islands at an authentic Hawaiian luau. The  
traditional Imu ceremony begins while you watch your feast of kalua  
pig being unearthed from its underground oven. You'll find most  
luaus offer all-you-can eat buffets which include such favorites as  
Mahi Mahi, poi, lomi lomi salmon, namasu, tropical island fruits and  
delicious desserts. The ambience of Hawaii continues with a torch

sail. What a view! Sailing into the sunset aboard the Spirit of  
Kauai, a luxury catamaran, with Kauai as a backdrop is a "must do"  
for everyone! From late December through April ocean excursions  
include whale watching! Enjoy the sight of these majestic marine  
mammals, undisturbed in their natural environment.  
  
Kayaking  
 
Imagine yourself on a magical guided tour into Kauai's Hidden Valley  
Falls. Outfitters Kauai takes you on an exclusive National Wildlife  
Refuge paddle and waterfalls hiking tour that takes you on a fun  
downwind kayak trip on the Huleai, a beautiful and historic jungle  
stream, deep into the heart of the island! Huleai has been the site  
of filming for a wide range of major motion pictures, including  
Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jurassic Park and its sequel Lost World.  
Your final destination, Hidden Valley Falls, is a beautiful series  
of pool-drop waterfalls cascading over black lava rock. To make your  
return trip easy, you'll travel back in a double hulled powered  
canoe.  
 
Ocean Sports  
 
Surfing, body surfing, body boarding, SCUBA diving, windsurfing, and  
snorkeling all abound in the waters off Poipu Beach. Explore sea

located right at Poipu Beach Park. You'll find everything you need

umbrellas, body boards, surf boards and snorkel equipment are all  
available to rent. Whatever water sport you choose, you're sure to  
find that the pristine waters off Poipu are truly incredible.  
  
Biking  
 
A fun, exciting bike ride is from the rim of the famed Waimea Canyon  
(el.3500') down 12 miles of smooth winding blacktop all the way to  
the shore of the blue Pacific. See the sun rise over the Waimea  
Canyon-it's spectacular! You won't be snoozin'- you'll be cruisin'.  
Or take the shoreline ride along the entire Poipu coastline from  
Spouting Horn to Maha'ulepu. With a published guide to cycling in  
the area that includes maps, historic and interpretive info, you're  
going to have a blast. Road bikes, cruisers, trail-a-bikes and baby  
seats are all available for rent at Outfitters Kauai.

Vacation Rental Rates

Rates: 
 
Daily = $285 or $295  
Weekly = $1995 or $2065 
Cleaning Fee = $193 
Maximum Occupancy = 6 
 
DEPOSITS:  
 
Your $500 security deposit is due within 10 days of making your  
reservation. Deposit can be paid by credit card, personal or agency 
check or money order. If the deposit is not received within 10 days, 
your reservation will automatically cancel.  
 
RENT:  
 
The full rental payment is due 60 days prior to arrival, except for  
reservations which include the dates 12/20-01/06; this full rental  
payment is due 90 days prior to arrival. If your payment is not  
received by the due date, your reservation will be subject to  
cancellation. Rent must be paid in U.S. funds and only by check or  
money order.  
 
CANCELLATIONS:  
 
You have the right to cancel with 90 days written notice. With  
timely cancellation notice, all advance funds will be returned less  
a cancellation fee. If your reservations include the dates 12/20- 
01/06, there will be a $200 cancellation fee. If less than 90 days  
notice, all advance funds will be forfeited unless we can re-book  
your rental dates. No refunds will be given for early departure as  
you are responsible for the entire time booked once within the non- 
cancellation period. 
 
SECURITY DEPOSIT:  
 
Each home requires a $500.00 Security Deposit, unless otherwise  
indicated. This deposit will be returned within 30 days less  
damages, missing items, toll calls or excessive cleaning.  
 
CHECK-IN TIME: 4:00 p.m. CHECK-OUT TIME: 10:00 a.m.  
 
CLEANING:  
 
Our home will be expertly cleaned prior to your arrival, and again  
after your departure. A cleaning fee of $193.00 is required.  
Excessive departure cleaning will be deducted from your security  
deposit. You may arrange with the office for personal cleaning  
during your stay for an additional fee.
