The Coconut Cabana in La Jolla

The Coconut Cabana is a charming family home that has just been
remodeled and refurbished in May 2008. From the brand new ceramic
tiles throughout the home to granite counter tops and new appliances
in the kitchen, to the high thread count linens in the bedrooms and
bathrooms, this house does not miss a step. While the inside of the
house is a treat by itself, the large, fully fenced gated and
beautifully landscaped backyard and patio area will make you want to
spend your whole vacation here at the house. The yard area is perfect
for entertaining and barbecuing as it includes a commercial grade
gourmet gas BBQ, covered slate tile patio and outdoor dining area with
seating for 6. The yard is large enough for a game of football, catch,
tag, playing in the sprinklers or just lounging and sunbathing in the
California sunshine. An outdoor hot and cold shower offers a
refreshing alternative for cleaning-up after a quick dip in the ocean.
The beach and sparkling Pacific Ocean are less than one and a half
blocks away, plus there are many restaurants and shops to explore less
than two blocks away and Sea World is less than a 15 minute drive.

This home has 3 bedrooms, with sleeping space for 2 - 6 people. The
master bedroom has a luxurious Eastern King-sized bed, large mirrored
closet, 48inch flat screen plasma television with full cable channels
and nightstand and reading lamps on each side of the bed. The second
bedroom has another comfortable pillow top queen bed, mirrored closet
and sliding glass doors with plantation wood shutters that open up to
the sunny and spacious back yard. The third bedroom has two extra long
twin beds, and again mirrored closet. All linens (sheets, pillows,
blankets, bath towels, beach towels) are provided. The bathroom offers
a full size bathtub with shower.

The large living room is open and inviting and connects through to the
dining room, kitchen and outdoor patio creating a very comfortable
living area for the whole family. The spacious living room has vaulted
custom wood ceilings with ceiling fans. The living room is fully
equipped with a two comfortable couches, cozy fireplace, lots of open
and sunny windows plus large 48inch flat panel plasma television with
full cable channels and CD/DVD player for late nights watching your
favorite movies. The dining room has a beautiful table with seating for 6.

The full kitchen was just recently remodeled with all new appliances
and granite countertops. This great kitchen has full sized range,
oven, refrigerator, dishwasher and mounted microwave. This home comes
complete with all dishes, glassware, utensils, as well as all kitchen
utensils and small appliances necessary to prepare any meal. Plus
there is a breakfast table next to the window and is the perfect place
to enjoy your morning coffee.

This home also includes off street parking for up to four cars with
two in the garage and two in the driveway. In addition, we provide a
telephone with answering machine for local calls and high speed
wireless internet service. A full-size washer and dryer, iron and
ironing board are also provided for your convenience.

We also provide boogie boards, sand toys, beach chairs, and beach
towels, so that you can better enjoy the area the way we do. Plus for
families with small children, we provide a pak-n-play crib, highchair,
noise monitor and baby gates with the rental of this homes. You can
also rent additional items such as a full size crib, jogging stroller,
etc. for an additional delivery fee. You can also order food and dairy
products to be delivered to the home prior to your arrival. Your order
will be charged to your credit card. To cancel or change your order,

In your private yard, you are able to enjoy an intimate evening
with family and friends under the stars. The yard area
includes outdoor dining table and chairs, built in gas BBQ, and beautiful and lush landscaping and flowers.

This home has both cable TV and Wireless internet to ensure that you stay connected while on vacation. Plus we offer bicycles and a wagon to help you get around town and see all the sights the city has to offer! So whether you want to enjoy a fun night in or a day of adventure we offer everything from board games and grocery delivery service to discount amusement park tickets available on request.

The Coconut Cabana is only a few blocks away from the beach, a
scenic beach used mainly by locals. This is a great spot to enjoy a
glorious sunset, dine in the sand, or swim in the refreshing ocean. If
you are a walker or a runner, you will enjoy the three-mile RT jaunt
to the La Jolla Cove and back. Many locals make this trek daily. On
Sundays you can enjoy walking up to the La Jolla Farmer's Market where
produce, flowers, handmade gifts and gourmet items are sold.

Also nearby are the world famous San Diego Zoo, Sea World, Legoland,
Torrey Pines Golf Course, Balboa Park, Old Town, Carlsbad Flower
Fields, and Coronado Island.

The public La Jolla Tennis Club and Recreation Center is another point of interest. Almost every evening and on weekends,
locals engage in "pick-up" games at the Recreation Center basketball
courts. Summer programs (i.e. Day Camps) for children are available
daily. The Recreation Center also houses a gym for adults and a
playground for children. Scuba diving at the La Jolla Cove Natural
Reserve, surfing at the many La Jolla beaches, and kayaking at the La
Jolla Shores are other activities locals and visitors enjoy.

Other places of interest and all within walking distance or less than
a 5 minute drive include the Cove Theater, an old movie house that
specializes in foreign films, the renowned La Jolla Museum of
Contemporary Art, the Pannekin Cafe; (the very first European style
coffee shop in San Diego County), several fine galleries, and of
course, a host of wonderful unique shops. The town boasts numerous
churches and temples (Presbyterian, Catholic, Episcopalian, Jewish,
Quaker, etc.) For those looking to be pampered, the luxurious SK Day
Spa is located only one block away. Families can also enjoy touring
the newly renovated La Jolla Scripps Aquarium. The La Jolla Playhouse
on the grounds of the University of California at San Diego offers
superb theatre performances.

Also within walking distance or a very short drive are numerous
upscale restaurants or local haunts. i.e.: Harry's (an old-time coffee
shop specializing in breakfasts), La Valencia Hotel and Whaling Bar,
Sammy's Wood Fired Pizza, George's at the Cove, Alfonso's, El

Room, to mention a few. There is a breakfast-bagel restaurant and an
ice-cream store just two blocks away. And for the connoisseur of
