Vacation Rental Description

This fully furnished lakefront cabin is named "The Oasis" because 
it is nestled in one of the most peaceful settings in Florida.
Lake Weohyakapka as named by the native Indians translates 
to Lake Walk-In-The-Water. Lake Walk-In-The-Water is Polk County's 
largest body of water (7,532 acres) and "best kept fishing secret." 

"While conversation amongst Sunshine State anglers frequently center 
on lakes Okeechobee, Kissimmee, Toho and the St. Johns River, Lake 
Walk-In-Water has quietly and consistently churned out magnificent 
catches of largemouth bass. 

It's not unusual for Florida's Game & Fresh Water Fish Commission 
(FWC) staff to receive reports of individual anglers landing and 
releasing anywhere from 15 to 30 fish per day, even during the hot, 
humid months of summer when bass commonly sulk in deeper waters 
while attempting to stay cool. 

The lake is located in central Florida, about four and one-half 
miles south of State Road 60, between Lake Wales and Indian Lakes 
Estates. Many who view Walk-In-Water for the first time are awed by 
the lake's clarity. 

On a clear day when the surface is smooth, you can clearly see the 
lake's bottom structure, even without polarized sunglasses."
