Vacation Rental Description

Welcome to Sleepy Creek Cabin.

If you are looking for a UNIQUE and RUSTIC cabin in a beautiful 
mountain setting, you've found it!  Private, yet convenient to all the 
High Country has to offer. Come and experience the charm of a 
"real" log cabin. 

This log cabin, made from the logs of two authentic 1800's log cabins
(from Kentucky and West Virginia) were re-assembled and joined to make
a very unique and comfortable vacation get away. This cabin is
constructed of 
beautiful antique hand hewn poplar and oak logs, wonderful stonework, 
complete with a cedar shake roof. It is located on over 4 acres of
wooded land 
with a native trout stream running past the cabin through the entire
acreage.

The interior features large rooms with (2) bedrooms and (2) bathrooms.
The  master is located down (queen) and has a small private bathroom.
Black walnut plank flooring, antique knotty pine paneling and  soap
stone block 
fireplace blend with newer components to set the stage for this cozy
retreat.   The second bedroom encompasses the entire upstairs (one
double and two single beds) with a cathedral ceiling and ceiling fans.
The rustic but
modern kitchen features all newer appliances, as well as a separate
laundry
room. A 2nd bathroom is located downstairs. But the best part is the
covered front porch.  Relax to the view of the very noisy creek and
the many
hummingbirds that frequent the cabin in the summer. Don't forget to
enjoy a picnic
by the creek - benches and picnic table provided.  Sleepy Creek
provides the
perfect setting for your relaxation , comfort and enjoyment.

Vacation Rental Amenities

Wood burning fireplace, Wireless or direct DSL Internet (must bring
your own lap-top),  dishwasher, microwave, coffee-maker , toaster, W/D, 
Satellite TV, VCR/DVD/Stereo, phone  (local 
calls only please),books, games, DVD/VCR movies, and linens.

ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING IN CABIN!!

Activities and Attractions

Once you catch your breath, go have some fun!  Boone is 
just a short drive away. Visit the wonderful downtown shops, 
catch one of the many concerts, plays or cultural events put 
together by Appalachian University.  Venture into Blowing 
Rock, where quiant antique shops and outlet malls await your 
arrival. The kids would enjoy an afternoon at Tweetsie Railroad 
or Grandfather Mountain's Swinging Bridge and Natural Habitat 
Zoo. Towards W. Jefferson, make  time to visit Historic Todd, 
there you can rent inner tubes and kayaks to float down the 
wonderful New River, or sit back and enjoy music and story 
telling held in the park during the summer. West Jefferson offers 
a beautiful 18 hole public golf course and the Parkway is just 5 
minutes from the cabin. So, come and enjoy....go as fast or as 
slow as you want. The cabin is conveniently located to Boone, 
Blowing Rock, West Jefferson, Historic Todd/New River, and the 
Blue Ridge Parkway.

Vacation Rental Rates

May - October $ 170.00 nt. / $ 950.00 wk. (3-4 nt. min.)
Nov - April  $ 340.00 (2 nts.) OR $ 155.00 nt. with (3) nt. min./ 
$900.00 wk. 

Holidays/Special Events - 175.00-190.00 nt. / $ 950.00-1100.00 wk.
(3-4 nt. min.) 
Easter, July 4th, Thanksgiving, X-Mas & New Years require a 4 nt. min.
stay

Add  $ 50.00-65.00 departure cleaning to all stays (holidays higher)
FIREWOOD (optional-Oct through April only) Please call for pricing.

50% advance payment (including tax and damage deposit) is due when 
reservation is made. Balance due 30 days prior to arrival.

CANCELLATIONS: All advanced payments will be refunded , less a 15%
cancellation fee 
(based on contracted rental fee) or $ 100.00, whichever is greater, if
Cabin  Property is re-rented for the same dates as reserved. NO
REFUNDS can
be made if Cabin Property is not re-rented for same dates and/or
cancellation occurs
within thirty (30) days of occupancy. 

Pets - (1 dog under 40lb.)  $ 20.00 nt. / $ 75.00 wk.  Larger pet,
please inquire.

Damage Deposit $ 150.00

WINTER GUESTS: 4wd and/or chains are recommended while visiting NC 
Mtns.during the winter months, as you may encounter snow or icy
conditions 
during your stay. Please come prepared, as we do not refund rents due to 
inclement weather.

All fees subject to 9.75% NC State & Local Taxes.
