Large fully equipped kitchen with all cooking and eating utensils, pots and pans and cleaning supplies, cable tv, dvd player, stove, full size refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, toaster, washer/dryer, central air. Really large family-size bathroom. 2 Bedrooms (1 with two Double beds, 1 with a Double and a Twin), sleeper sofa (double sized)...plenty of room in bedroom or living room for a blow up mattress, sleeping bags, play pen or crib. Stocked bookshelf, board games, children's DVD's, coloring books and crayons. 1,200 square foot home.
Enjoy pristine Assateague Beach minutes away. (Conde Nast Traveler’s 20 best beaches in America!) Because Assateague Beach is a National Park, it is beautiful, clean and a true beach! No buildings or development allowed. The ocean swimming, wave jumping and play are wonderful.
Explore the channels and nature preserve of Assateague Island. Chincoteague Island boasts a quaint town with lots to do, great seafood, art galleries, gift shops, old-fashioned ice cream shops (try Island Creamery...the Mississippi Mud!) and vintage movie theatre. Boating, Biking, Fishing, Crabbing, Surfing, Miniature Golf or…Just lay on the golden sand!
See the famous ponies. Memorial Park where the Ponies arrive is walking distance. Only 3 hours or less from DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, West Virginia, New Jersey, Delaware... Rent by the weekend (Friday to Monday $400), mini-week (Monday to Friday $450) or week (Monday to Monday or Friday to Friday $650) Maximum occupancy is 6.
That's $92 to $133 a night! Area hotels cost $189 to $259 a night!
Compare our mini-week rate of $450 to a mini-week at the Hampton Inn. It costs $1,139 for a Monday to Friday stay (2 Queens in one room). And you don’t have access to a kitchen and you have to pay for laundry. Even the Best Western will cost you $834, and again, no kitchen and you pay for the laundry.
