Vacation Rental Description

Shelter Island is a true island which lies between the two east end 
forks of Long Island. It is accessed by car ferry from either 
Greenport on the North Fork or North Haven (Sag Harbor) on the South 
Fork.

Bush Rose is a lovely estate like setting situated on one and one 
half acres, a stone's throw from West Neck Bay on Shelter Island. 
This property, which has been in our family for 50+years, was 
developed by an Italian landscape gardener in the early 1900's and 
includes several mature gardens. 

This is summer living in the true East End tradition. The three 
bedroom, two bath home has a new country kitchen with granite 
counter tops, stainless steel appliances and white beadboard 
cabinetry. The interior of the home is open and airey and has been 
completely renovated.   

Vacation Rental Amenities

A Loggia or outdoor living room is adjacent to the dining room which 
looks out onto the gardens. Living room has a fireplace.

A large pergola serves as an outdoor dining area near the fenced 
pool. Both pergola and pool are very private. 

The home comes complete with linens, kitchen utensils, pool 
furniture. Just bring your swim suit and relax.

There is cable TV and internet access for those who need to be 
connected.

Sunset Beach and public golf course are a 5 minute drive from house.

Activities and Attractions

Shelter Island is a sailor's paradise. West Neck Bay is ideal for 
launching a small boat and it has deep wter access to greater 
Peconic Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. 

Golfing, beaches, shopping and world class restaurants are all 
located on the island. A short ferry ride can take you to the hot 
spots of the Hamptons. Many lovely wineries and historical sites are 
located on the more agricultural north fork. 

In addition to the beach there are many activities on Shelter Island 
for children and adults including sailing, tennis, golf, community 
recreational activities and sports camps. On weekend evenings you 
can attend free concerts at the Perlmann Music Institute, a five 
minute drive from the home.

Vacation Rental Rates

Weekly Rates:
July, August, September      $2500
$500 refundable deposit plus $300 cleaning fee.

Monthly Rates: 
June      $4000
July      $10000 
August    $12000  
September $8000 
$2000 refundable security deposit plus $300 cleaning fee.

July and August:    $20,000  Includes 4th of July and Labor Day 
                             weekends-walk to fireworks at Sunset 
                             Beach 
Summer Season:      $25,000  MD-LD (walk to Fireworks/Sunset Beach)

Winter Sept-May  $1800 per month
Year-round       $2000 per month 
 

All payments are due in advance of move in.

Summer Renters pay for weekly pool maintenance and utilities.
Owner pays for gardener.
