You will be staying in one of the nicest condos in the
Desert Princess as it has just received a complete face lift. Reserve your dates now as they are filling up fast!!

A Month in Palms Springs

We rented this condo for the month of March, 2011. It was perfect for us; affordable, pet freindly and convenient. We wanted the extra bedrooms so we could have our kids and their spouses out for one of the weeks we were there. It worked out well.

I wish the furniture in the living room was a bit more comfortable; but we didn't spend that much time there, just some evenings.

The location within the complex of Desert Princess was acceptable, and the resort was convenient to downtown Palm Springs. We ate out a lot; one, because we were on vacation and two, because the kitchen was on the small side.

Desert Princess was wonderful; we walked the resort property frequently (at least wtwice daily) and I rode my bike around almost daily as well. Golf course was great. People were freindly.

We discovered the happy hour next door (relatively speaking) at Escena Golf Club which has one of the most beautiful views in all of Palm Springs. We went there three times plus two times for lunch.

The unit is near one of the greens so we could watch the golfers as they went by (one of the holes I managed to par when I played the course). The downside is that between golf course maintenance and regular lawn area maintenance, it seemed like they mowed it nearly every day and kept us from "sleeping in".

If I needed three bedrooms I wouldn't mind staying here again. Note: the twin beds are more for children and young teens, not adults (per my adult son ).

There are swimming pools everywhere. Near the end of our stay we saw several kids and young teens around as Spring Break was on. Still, the resort is quiet and serene.

Owners were very helpful, responsive and easy to work with - I had all my communications with them through email. Easy, easy transaction.

Recommended for: age 55+, pet-friendly, sight seeing

Great experience except...

We enjoyed the condo. The location was great. The only problem was retrieving our damage deposit. It has taken 3 emails and a month later the check arrived for the wrong amount. Hopefully we'll get this resolved soon.

Recommended for: age 55+

Owners response: Damage deposit was delayed due to the fact cleaning company warned me after the renter departed that we would be charged additional fees for dry cleaning of stained bedding items & replacement of other items the were damaged. I couldnt send out the deposit back to the renter until I got the actual invoice from the cleaning company for accounting purposes.

Comfortable condo, great location, beautifully manicured golf course. We had a great time and enjoyed 3 weeks of playing golf.
