vacation rental description
Once you rent cozy Tranquil Seas cottage on Eleuthera you'll want to return to this island of natural beauty and warm, wonderful people. Tranquil Seas is a comfy smoke-free cottage with Indonesian decor and bamboo thatch matting on walls and ceilings.
There is a bedroom (queen size beds), full bathroom and walk-in closet at each end of the house which provides privacy if sharing the house and cost with friends. There is also a queen sized sleeper sofa in the living room to accommodate up to 6 guests. It is perfect for families and as a romantic getaway. Some of the best snorkeling that you've ever had: it is not unusual to see stingrays, squid, spiney lobster, parrot fish, angel fish, as well as turtle, dolphins and lionfish.
We have a laundry room and the outside shower is great for rinsing the sand and sea water off of yourselves and your gear.
It is one of the very few properties on the entire island which has views of both the Atlantic and the Caribbean, being just the second street back from both seas, so you can sit in the rockers, hammock chairs or hammock on the front porch with your morning coffee and watch the sun rise and sit on the back porch in the evening with a frosty cold island drink and watch the sun set. Leave the sliding doors open in the bedrooms at night so you'll catch the soft breeze, the sound of the surf, and the cruise ships lit up in all of their glory cruising the Atlantic. Wake up to the sight of the sea without having to lift your head off of the pillow. The pamoramic views are incredible and you can see the water on both sides at once from multiple roooms in the house.
Because of the close proximity of the 2 seas cross breezes keep the cottage cool plus there are ceiling fans in each room and air conditioning in the all rooms for the warm nights. A walk of about 5 minutes will take you to the nearby beaches and it's a short drive to some beautiful picture postcard perfect secluded beaches that each have their own unique beauty.
The cottage is centrally located just 15 minutes north of Governor's Harbour airport and 2 miles from the closest grocery store. Plus there are many full service restaurants and take out restaurants all over the island as well as a variety of home bakeries not far from the cottage where you can get delicious bread, donuts, pastries and pies.
You have unlimited use of 2 new sea kayaks at no extra cost (the going rate on the island is $50/hr). There are neat quaint little shops to browse in as well as a cinema showing the lastest films. You can even rent a surfboard in Gregorytown. While snorkeling/kayaking around the Rainbow Beach cay will see a good variety of sea life. Feel free to use our insulated backpack and ice blocks to keep your drinks and food cold while out and about.
We will ensure that you have car rental info (about $350/week -pick up/drop off at airport or dock),
info about fishing/snorkeling/sailing excursions and provide advice for booking flights. We can give you info about someone to provide meals at the cottage if you would like.
For over 400 photos of the cottage/island/beaches and a walk thru video of the cottage ask us for the websites. We know that you'll love this island and our lovely home as much as we do!
It's the place to escape from it all to restore your spirit and reboot your soul...
