My partner and I were extremely disappointed with the condo. This is not what we consider a 1 bed but more a studio. It is clear that the condo is a rental only since it and the furniture looked very tired and grubby. When we arrived the electricity was not on and took us a while to find the mains, furthermore it was not clean there were hairs everywhere and the underneath of the bed and sofa had not been cleaned in what appeared to be months. When my partner fell ill there was nothing in the apartment that could aid us as to the nearest Drs/hospital etc. Most other places we have rented have always had a portfolio of useful info including emergency numbers and local areas of interest. Most of the sheets and towels had brown stains on them. The kitchen was lacking the basic of utensils and what was there was of a cheap variety. We purchased a number of items to enable us to maintain a standard of our own. The only things that were in abundance were toilet rolls, kitchen paper towels and soap. In the 3 months we rented we spoke with the owner once and that was because we called her. We could not even use the post box because the key had been lost and we got the feeling the owner couldn't be bothered to replace. The communal washer/dryer facilities were dirty and the machines I felt did not wash the clothes to a good standard. The swimming pool although nice (if you could get in it) is shared between the 4 blocks of condos and is only open between the hours of 7.30 and 5.30. Access to the beach is easy however it is blocked on one side by mangroves and the other by water inlets so long beach walks are out of the question. I personally would not recommend this to anybody and in fact found much nicer properties in the same block in some cases a little cheaper. Even though the owner did give us a deal on the 3 months we still felt it was expensive for what it was...Ah hindsight!!!

We enjoyed the week. Condo is very clean and close to eating.

Recommended for: age 55+, sight seeing, romantic getaway
