Vacation Rental Description

 Portsmouth is a Historic Seacoast Town located 45 minutes North of Boston. 
The Admiral Sheafe Home is a Restored c.1820 Home located at 49 Sheafe Street, 
in the heart of the Historic District and walking distance (just
blocks!) to all Resturants, Clubs, Shops, Theatre, Museums, The Music
Hall and Prescott Park on the Pisquataque River. You are adjacent to Strawberry Bank, and it is a short walk 
or Drive to the water- Ocean, Beaches, and the Maine Coastline.
Portsmouth is a small historic yet busy riverfront-Port and from this
Historic home you can walk in just a minute to the water front and all
the boating action! You are in an exclusive residential district in
the heart of the city, and the Public Marina is just 2 blocks away. 
With advance reservation, the marina can accommodate up to a 60'
yacht- or keep your day sailer handy. There are several boat charter
services available in Portsmouth. 
You are just a short walk to the shore-front Pierce Island
recreational center and Prescot Park Gardens-Strawberry Bank Historic
district. Hundreds of acres of gardens and Preserved Historic Homes.
There are several high end gourmet restaurants within 3 blocks!
          

Vacation Rental Amenities

Charming restored c.1820 Period Home In the heart of the Historic
District - 3 Bedrooms, 2.5 Baths. Sleeps maximum five (5) persons. 
Master Bedroom suite with private shower and bathtub (clawfoot of 
course!), walk in closet and beautifully decorated for a great 
experience, elegantly furnished Dinning Room and Family room, 
gourmet Kitchen, yard and garden with porch, off street parking for 
2 cars.  Additional amenities 3 fireplaces, washer/dryer, central air 
conditioning, 6 gas burner industrial stove, two ovens(great for 
Holiday entertaining). The Admiral Sheafe House has a small back yard-pocket garden and
located in the center of town but on a quiet residential street 
where many homes and brick front town houses have been  meticulously 
restored. Joggers take note--2k roundtrip to Kittery Maine and back-
waterviews all the way!!!  Walk in one minute to the waterfront 
and Strawberry Banke for a wonderful vacation experience. All linens
and paper supplies included--just bring your sushi-knives if you have
special cullinary talent.  absolutely no!--No pets or smoking allowed.

Activities and Attractions

Seacoast of NH is filled with attractions and activities for the 
entire family including 5 star dining, nightlife, tax free shopping, 
art galleries and museums, music and live entertainment both indoors 
and out. Also breathtaking beaches and coastline of both NH and 
Maine with sunset cruses, whalewatches, and historic Isles of Shoals 
boat rides and tours. Nearby, Odione Point in Rye is a haven for 
nature and wild life enthusiasts. Guided historic home tours in 
Strawbery Banke is a delightful step back in time and only a few 
minute walk away. The list of options and combinations of activities 
is endless... Just 1/2 mile away is Pierce Island Recreation Center--
Public Boat Launch, Swimming Pool, Playground by the water!!!  This 
launch area leads to miles of inland tidal waterways as well as to 
the Ocean.  Boat, kayak, swimm, picnic from Pierce Island 
Recreational Center just down the road from your vacation rental or 
drive - bike to Newcastle Island Recreational center right on the

Vacation Rental Rates

WEEKLY Rental Rates: SUMMER Season Memorial Day through October 31st: 
$1,800/wk. (2008) 
Security/damage-Reservation Deposit: $500.per/wk is required to hold 
reservation and FULL PAYMENT by check requested ONE MONTH in advance of rental.
Cancellation Policy: deposit amount non-refundable for cancellation-1 month before rental.
Non smoking Interior and No pets
Cleaning/departure service available: $100.per stay. also available weekly with prior request.
