Vacation Rental Description

Why lose money on Manhattan hotels when instead you can spend it on having fun in one 
of the best cities in the world? Stay in a newly furnished 5 room suite located in Astoria, 
(northwestern Queens), which is a 15 minute subway ride to midtown Manhattan, Central 
Park, the Central Park Zoo, FAO Schwarz, The Museum of Modern Art, Late Show w/ David 
Letterman, Broadway shows and many other attractions.

About the apartment:
It is a great “home away from home,” with a NYC vibe. Sleeps up to 4 people (5 w/ aerobed 
provided at no additional cost). The apartment will be newly furnished (new photos will be 
posted soon). Located on the second floor of a privately owned house.  We the owners, live 
on the bottom floor and are often present for advice and tourism info of Manhattan hot 
spots, good restaurants and the best way to get around the city.

About the neighborhood:
Astoria is a neighborhood often on the tongues of New Yorkers who love to eat and drink. 
People from across the globe have made Astoria famous for its varied cuisines. From many 
street corners, you can see the foods of five continents represented by nearby restaurants. 
It's more casual and cheaper than Manhattan, the foods are more traditional and less 
nouveau, and there's a great neighborhood vibe. Astoria is also the home of New York 
City’s oldest beer garden, the Bohemian Hall. The garden is large and full of trees and 
picnic tables filled with folks sipping cold beer and tackling plates of hearty Czech food.

Vacation Rental Rates

**Special - Free $20 Metrocard with your stay to ride the NYC subways and bus**
(with commitment of minimum one week stay)

Oct    1 to Dec 20        $150 a night   $1000 a week
Dec    20 to Jan 3        $200 a night   $1300 a week
Jan     3 to Apr 15        $150 a night   $1000 a week
Apr    15 to Oct 1        $200 a night   $1200 a week
(Daily 3-night minimum 4 people or under)

A $350 security deposit is required to reserve the apartment, which is refundable at the 
end of your stay if no damage is found in the apartment. The $350 will not be refunded 
should you cancel your reservation.

Rates are payable in cash, money orders, travelers cheques or bank cheques, or through 
paypal and are due in full upon arrival.  Credit cards can only be used through a valid 
paypal account. All cash payments must be made in US currency only.

SOME THINGS TO NOTE
No smoking allowed indoors
No pets allowed
No landline telephone but do get strong cell phone reception
The apartment is located on the second floor and is NOT wheelchair accessible
A $25 fee per day will be added for a fifth person
