Vacation Rental Description

Pelican House is an exceptional, beautifully appointed & spacious villa located at South Gulf Cove, 
just 10 minutes south of Port Charlotte on the Cape Haze Peninsula. 

The villa sleeps 8/10 people in comfort and luxury. 

Accommodation includes 2 x Master bedrooms with king size beds, flat screen LCD TV's & luxury en-
suite bathrooms each with jacuzzi bath, walk-in shower. Both master bedrooms open to the pool deck. 

A 3rd bedroom includes a queen sized double bed & the 4th bedroom is a twin. The den doubles as 
bedroom #5 with a sofa bed providing extra sleeping if needed.

The main lounge area is spacious & airy with adjacent separate breakfast & dining areas. The kitchen 
has all the equipment & utensils you would expect. The villa is fully air conditioned throughout 
with ceiling fans in most rooms. 

To the rear of the property is the 25ft SOLAR HEATED POOL & HOT TUB and spacious pool deck with 
patio furniture, sun loungers, child safety guard around the pool. 

There is a gas BBQ & the villa comes with 4 Bicycles (2 adult 2 child) to allow you to explore the 
local area. And for days in, for children (large and small)there is a large flat screen TV, NINTENDO 
Wii games console as well as a selection of games and DVD's.

We also provide free of charge, WIRELESS high speed internet access.

There is an abundance of attractions including the famous white sandy beaches lapped by the gentle 
warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico; easily accesible, being just a 10 minute drive yet are 
quiet & unspoilt, attracting a multitude of wildlife including dolphins, turtles & many different 
species of birds. 

Within a few minutes drive you can enjoy the best of Floridian dining too. Our favourites include 
the casual dining of "The Fishery" which is just up the road at Placida and the more formal but 
delightful "Palmetto Grill" a few minutes further on at Cape Haze. And for the more adventurous of 
you, why not rent a boat and head out to the Cabbage Key Inn, only accessible by sea. We'd recommed 
the shrimp washed down with a cocktail or cold beer. When you leave pin a dollar to the bar wall (if 
you can find room) as the fishermen used to do in times past.

Tampa is less than 2hrs drive & Orlando and Miami less than 3hrs. All of which have regular daily 
international flights to/from the UK and other European destinations. Other airports close by also 
include Fort Myers for local connections which is just 45 minutes away.

A Publix supermarket for all your local groceries is only 3 minutes away by car, Port Charlotte with 
all the main stores, Wal-Mart, JC Penney, Circuit City and more, is 10 minutes, Boca Grande and the 
brilliant white sands of the Gulf beaches are approximately 10 minutes away.

If you are looking to get away from it all and enjoy peace & tranquility in absolute luxury - look 
no futher. Set in a secluded location and not over looked yet extremely convenient to amenities. The 
white sandy beaches of the gulf coast are only 10 minutes away with golf, boating & fishing all 
nearby.

Charlotte Harbour and the Gulf Islands.

You can enjoy inland exploration, as well as waterfront strolling. Nature enthusiasts can hike and 
bike along park paths for possible encounters with birds of almost every feather, turtles and other 
local wildlife. Or you can rent a Kayake or Canoe and take a slower pace around the many waterways 
of the area. Further afied the Everglades is also accessible as one of the many day trips you can do 
from the area.

Punta Gorda and Charlotte Harbour offer some the very best sailing and boating experiences anywhere 
in the world.

Charlotte Harbour is one of SAIL Magazines '10 Greatest Places to Sail' in the US. With 120 square 
miles of cruising waters in the harbor & access to the Gulf of Mexico, as well as inland passages 
north and south, the harbor has an endless series of adventures 
on offer. 

The upper harbor offers protected sailing on those windy days; to the south, the harbor opens up to 
a large expanse of water that offers long stretches for a relaxing reach across the harbor on a nice 
day. You can make easy day trips around the many islands & keys that dot the coastline. You may want 
to head to the Cabbage Key Inn for an outdoor lunch or to Cayo Costa for an afternoon of shelling or 
picnicing on the beautiful white beaches.

There are many boat hire firms catering for the experienced & the novice alike. And no visit to the 
Gulf Coast is complete without a trip around the islands.

Often people think of Florida as only Orlando and the theme parks. However no visitor should leave 
without experiencing the true wilderness and seeing the wildlife that thrives in the many reserves 
in the Gulf Coast area.

There is an additional charge of US$95/UK£50 per week if the optional electric heating is required 
for hot tub. 25% deposit required at time of booking. Full payment must be made 10 weeks before 
rental date. If booking made within 10 weeks of rental start date then full booking fee is required. 

A returnable deposit of US$300/£200.00 is required, to be paid with balance of the rental. This is 
to be held as security against return of keys, inventory damage, excess cleaning costs, long 
distance telephone calls where applicable, etc. This deposit will be returned to the client subject 
to a satisfactory inspection by the management company. 
 
Minimum Stay - One week
