Charming bungalow on 1.5 acres, built in 1930, hard wood floors, all
original cabinets and wood work. One bedrooms has queen bed, second
bedroom has queen and additional cot bed. The house is simple and charming,
with lots of wood, lots of windows, nice rugs and old prints on the
walls. Lovely sunsets from the living room windows.

LOTS of videos and DVDs, lots of books and especially lots of COOKBOOKS! I
own CASA on Cottage, Mexican restaurant in downtown Bar Harbor. My renters get 1 1/2 price dessert  with purchase of each entree AND renters who wish to dine a second time at CASA
 will receive the above discount plus an ADDITIONAL 15% off entrees, if seated by 6 pm. Children's menu items available on request.

Bungalow has spacious living room, kitchen/dining room, 2 bedrooms,
full bath (w/
tub and shower), washer and dryer. Centrally located on Mount Desert
Island, minutes from
downtown Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Just across from the
bungalow begins a
wonderful country road leading to one of the islands most
picturesque bike rides; spectacular mountain views, farms and even an organic
vegetable market). Take left at bottom of driveway and then an immediate right on Beech Hill Crossing - (slight incline till end of road, then turn left onto Beech Hill road) . At the
end of this 3 mile road is Beech Mountain with marked trails.

The island wide free bus goes right past the house.

The house is a 1/2 mile to pristine Echo Lake... 12
minute drive to Downtown
Bar Harbor, 5 minutes to historic Southwest Harbor, 10-15 minutes to
almost anything
Mount Desert Island has to offer including Acadia National Park,
hiking, kayaking,
beaches,boating, whale watches, historic walking tours, great
shopping and dining
choices and much more! The house is also on the free local bus route
that will carry you to
downtown Bar Harbor and most Island destinations. There is no
smoking allowed in the
house or any outbuildings.



If you like natural wood, and old fashioned settings, we think you
will enjoy our charming little house in Somesville, just minutes
from anywhere on Mt.
Dessert Island adn Acadia National Park. It is a common sight to
look out the window and
see deer browsing behind the house. If you like to explore, you can
take a short walk
down the dirt road
next door and end up at Somes Sound, or a 1/2 mile walk or drive
will take you to one of
the islands most beautiful lakes.
