seat, 51" Television (Comcast Cable) with surround sound,
DVD and CD players
Kitchen: Ceramic tile floors, bar with seating for 4, stainless steel
refrigerator, stainless steel dishwasher, garbage disposal, stainless
steel 5 burner dual fuel oven and ample counter space.
Dining Area: Includes ceramic tile floors, small bar table and wet
bar with 2 under-bar refrigerators.
Parking: There is room for 10 cars in the driveway if you park closely.
Patio: Patio furniture, stainless steel double gas grill and outdoor
shower.
Yard: Rear yard is big enough to play games and has a view of the bay.

Dewey Beach, Delaware is delightful!

Our family of 7 stayed at this spacious rental 2 and one-half blocks to Dewey Beach during the week of August 7-12, 2011. I appreciated having to walk a bit because it gave us some exercise before and after the relaxing day at the shore. Hearing the crash of the waves and viewing that gorgeous sight of the Atlantic left us with fond memories of our vacation.

This rental home had a great ceramic-tiled floor and a well-equipped kitchen which made it almost like home. The deck in the spacious back yard had an extra-long picnic table that we enjoyed eating at during one of the cooler days. We didn't get to use the gas grill but it would have been nice to enjoy a cookout there (maybe next time). The outdoor shower was convenient for removing the sand before entering the house. Having a washer/dryer onsite was perfect! We loved the comfy bed in the master bedroom and the "tropical rainforest" showerhead in the adjoining bath. I encouraged members of my family to try out that shower during our stay. The 5 bedrooms/3 bathrooms allowed enough space for everyone to have their privacy. I only wish some of the other bedrooms had larger, more comfortable beds rather than twins and bunkbeds (great for kids but adults want real beds).

There was an issue with the central air (not cooling properly) during the first couple days of our stay. Having to use fans in the bedrooms and window air conditioners made it a little noisy. But as the outdoor weather cooled a little, the air conditioner worked better. The owner said he was aware of the situation and was planning on getting it fixed soon.

When we arrived at the beach early, we had a front-row view of the ocean. If we arrived a little later we were in the second row of beach umbrellas. I loved that the beach was not overly-crowded and we felt safe with the many lifeguards scanning the water for struggling swimmers. The waves were a little strong but my family really enjoyed them.

We visited Reboboth boardwalk (a short drive away) a couple evenings, but were glad we did not have to contend with those crowds during the daytime when we wanted to relax and enjoy the water. We enjoyed a delicious dinner at the Cove on the bay and had a lovely view of the setting sun. Dewey had an array of restaurants and the Outlets and other eateries were nearby.

I rate this experience as very"good", but once these factors (air conditioning and larger beds) are addressed I would be able to rate this lovely vacation home as "excellent"!

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet-friendly, tourists without a car

Love Dewey Beach!!

As first time Dewey Beach goer's, I greatly appreciated the generosity and hospitality provided in order to ensure our stay was comfortable and homey. We enjoyed our stayed very much, we couldn't thank you enough. The location was perfect walking distance from the beach, the strip was lively with tasty seafood restaraunts, and only a short drive to the outlets. We wouldn't mind renting this property again, the next time we decide to visit Dewey Beach. Thanks again for the wonderful experience!

Dewet Beach Vacay

This beach house was perfect for our girls weekend getaway. Plenty of space and a great back porch/backyard area. The advertisement and photos accurately reflected the house's appearance and amenities. Only two blocks from the beach and close to all the restaurants. The property owner was fantastic -- I could not rave enough about her. She answered all of my questions within minutes.

Recommended for: families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet-friendly
