The moment you board the ferry in Southport, you begin to realize

Board the tram to take you to your destination and discover ancient
live oaks stretching over the road. Finally the tram stops, and the
inviting front porch of our home beckons you to sit and relax. You
have arrived.

However, the full understanding that you have 'left America behind'
hits you when you sit behind the wheel of our golf cart and zip
around the island. You will not find any cars on the island, which
increases the beauty by eliminating the noise and the smell! Cruise
to the beautiful golf club or down to the Shoals Swim Club. Dine at
Pelicatessan or Ebb and Flo's. If you prefer, spruce up and dine in
at either of the clubs. Or stop in for an afternoon of golf on the
award winning golf couse.

The Turtle Conservancy enhances the island's character. Every night
you can take advantage of turtle walks. Learn about the amazing
Loggerhead turtles which nest along the shores of the Bald Head
beaches. The awesomeness of coastal living will really hit home.

After a day of relaxing, dine in by taking advantage of our
extremely well-stocked kitchen. Discover that cooking can actually
be fun! Or sit back and watch a movie, read a book or just watch
