Vacation Rental Description

The Lodge is located in on a private peninsula on Moose Pond. At the 
turn of the century the property was the Estate of CE Cobb. The 
property has three structures; The Cottage, The Lodge and The Cabin. 
The Cottage is used by the 
owner (only weekends. The Lodge is available for your 
enjoyment. The Cabin is a storage building, that gets it's name 
from the business that once occupied it. The property is one of the 
most photographed properties in the area. It has been featured in 
numerous pictures and five jigsaw puzzles (by four different 
companies). 

Valhalla dates to the late 1800's. The Cottage & Lodge are about 30 
feet apart but face in different directions. Their design was well 
thought out, making them each very private. From the living areas in 
both buildings you cannot see the other. 

Vacation Rental Amenities

The Lodge interior is classic knotty pine. The first floor is an open 
living room w/gas fireplace - eating area - kitchen on the first 
floor. Updated kitchen, microwave,pots, pans, dishes, toaster, coffee 
maker. Phone, Satelite TV, Stereo, CD, DVD, and board games for rainy 
days also included. The second floor has four bedrooms and a full 
bath. Master bedroom has great views of the lake and of Shawnee Peak. 
Outside you will find a farmer's porch facing the water, which is 
only ten feet away. Our beach is only 75 ft away. Property boasts 400 
feet of private waterfront. Outside you have use of the dock, swim 
float, canoe and gas grill. 

Activities and Attractions

Sit back and relax or take advantage of the area’s numerous 
offerings. Moose Pond, (really a lake at 7 miles long and 1694 acres) 
offers great fishing. Good area for water skiing, sailing, canoeing, 
and kayaking. Public boat ramp (free) is only half a mile away. Hike 
Pleasant Mountain. Three golf courses near by. Numerous great 
restaurants in the area. Spend an afternoon on the paddle 
wheeler “Songo River Queen” on nearby Long Lake. Outlet shopping in 
tax-free North Conway, NH is only 30 minutes away.
