Vacation Rental Description

Little Loj is a fully renovated, authentic Adirondack log cabin with 
rustic ambience and all modern amenities. The Loj has two 
queen bedrooms and two baths, each with Jacuzzi whirlpools, a new, 
fully equipped kitchen, woodstove, both a Monitor 
Heater and electric heaters and window air conditioning.

Situated at the base of Whiteface Mountain, Little Loj rests on a 
grassy acre with mature,shade bearing pine trees. There's an 
outdoor, stone fireplace, picnic area and barbeque pit.  Located in 
the Hi Peaks area of the Adirondacks, Little Loj is just minutes 
from Lake Placid, site of two winter Olympics and wonderful shops 
and restaurants. 

It is the closest private rental home to Whiteface Ski area, rated 
#1 in North America for off-hill activities. Whiteface Mountain is 
the East Coast's largest, vertical drop at 3,350 feet with 72 trails 
for skiing and riding for all abilities over 2 Adirondack mountain 
peaks.  Little Loj is located in the Ausable River Valley, famed for 
world class trout fishing.

Vacation Rental Amenities

Little Loj is furnished in classic Adirondack decor. There is a 
new, fully equipped kitchen and a large living room with Vermont 
Castings woodstove. The cabin is approximately 1,400 sq. ft. in 
size. 

There are two TV’s with expanded cable service, washer and dryer, 
microwave, coffee maker, blender, stereo system, VCR, and phone.
There are complete linens and kitchen service. 
 

There is prompt snowplowing in the winter and the grounds are 
beautifully maintained in the summer. This home is centrally located 
to many activities. It is within 2 minutes of the Whiteface Ski 
Center and Mountain Bike Center and 10 minutes away from all of the 
Olympic venues of Lake Placid.
 
Lake Placid: 10 minutes
Lake Champlain: 30 minutes
Saranac Lake: 25 minutes
Lake George: 2 hours
Montreal: 2 hours
Albany: 2 hours

Activities and Attractions

This home is centrally located to many activities, including 
hiking, fishing, boating, rock climbing and golf, to name a 
few.  There is kayaking, ice skating, national and 
international athletic competitions, the Center for the Performing 
Arts, free summer concerts by the lake, special events like the 
Ironman North America, the Native American festival, the Scottish 
Highland festival, Oktoberfest, A-rated horseshows, well maintained 
public beaches, a 1950`s vintage movie house with first run movies, 
dozens of fine restaurants, dozens of specialty shops, and a scenic 
railroad. 

Vacation Rental Rates

During February, March, April, May, June, September, October and 
November Little Loj rents for $900.00 USD for the week and 
$150.00 USD per night with a 3 night minimum.

During July, August, December and January, Little 
Loj rents for $1050.00 USD for the week and $175.00 USD per 
night with a 4 night minimum.

Little Loj rents for the minimum of a week during the Ironman 
Competition (July), Christmas and New Year's for $1225.00 USD.

There is an additional security deposit which is returned to you 
after your departure from Little Loj, minus a cleaning fee, assuming 
the cabin is left in good standing.
Rentals longer than one week are subject to negotiation.

Pet policy : The only pets considered are well behaved, mature dogs. 
If permission is given, there is an additional pet security deposit 
and a surcharge of $15.00 USD per day with a $75.00 maximum. Sorry, 
no cats, owner is allergic.
