Dana Point: Oceanfront & Heated Pool Overlooking the Beach! in Dana Point

Enjoy sweeping panoramic ocean views from this luxury oceanfront condominium on the Dana Point Headlands with a pool overlooking Strands Beach with beach access just two doors away.  Located in the renowned “Gold Coast” region of south Orange County, we are just one-quarter mile south of the famed Ritz Carlton Hotel and Salt Creek Beach Park, immediately north of the Dana Point Harbor. Our complex is small and private - only 8 units total.  The living room features sliding doors that allow sit-down whitewater views of Strands Beach and beyond. Winter months bring whale watching and views of the snow-capped Big Bear Mountain in the distance. Furnishings include a sectional sofa, island-style wicker chairs, and a 47” LCD HDTV with a Blueray player. The master bedroom includes Tommy Bahama tropical beddings and a California King size bed and a 24" LCD TV. This room faces the southeast and features two large windows overlooking the headlands nature area/conservation park, and also allows an ocean view. The guest bedroom features twin beds, a ceiling fan and full closet and a wall-mounted flat screen TV/DVD player.  Note that all our photos are taken from our property - we are true oceanfront and our property line extends to the sand.

Amenities include a full kitchen with a stainless-steel refrigerator, a range and single oven, dishwasher, microwave, blender, coffee maker and grinder, pots/pans, dishes, utensils and dinnerware.  The area below the unit’s balcony is protected from the afternoon sea breezes by a glass partition, and features a seasonally heated pool with deck chairs and tables, chaise lounges, large market-style umbrellas and a gas barbecue.  We also have high speed internet with WiFi access.  We are on the second floor with 14 steps. If steps are a concern we can install an Acorn Stairlift during your stay for a minimal charge.

Beach access to beautiful Strands Beach is through a newly opened switchback trail that is three doors away. Here you can enjoy
beachcombing, exploring rock pools, swimming, snorkeling, and
surfing. We also have nature trails around the Dana Point Headlands at the end of our street.  To the immediate south, Dana Point Harbor provides slips
and mooring for over 2,500 boats along with over 50 specialty shops
and restaurants. The Harbor attracts thousands of visitors annually
for shopping, sport fishing, walking, bicycling, kayaking and a host
of recreational activities. There is also a direct ferry service
from Dana Point Harbor to
Catalina Island.
Nearby Salt Creek Beach is known as one of the preeminent performance
surf spots in the world, while Doheny State Park to the south is home
to local surf schools and is one of the best beginner waves in
California. The State Park has picnic areas with barbecues and
firepits, and a beachfront promenade perfect for bicycling and
rollerblading.

Holiday weeks (Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years): $3000

Nightly rental policy: rentals are one week minimum unless we have short-term availability (one week in advance of arrival).  Contact us for rates.

Terms: Weekly rentals require a $500 Security Deposit which we return within 2 weeks of your departure.  We deduct a $175 cleaning fee from the deposit. Deposit due upon booking / rental charges due 30 days prior to arrival.                    

Credit Cards: 2.5% charge for US transactions and 3.7% for International.       PayPal and Bank Wire accepted - any additional fees incurred will be billed to the renter.
