vacation rental description
Our single level stucco townhome/condo, is on Castle Rock
Road in the quiet Village of Oak Creek (el. 4000 ft.)the gateway to
the red rock Sedona area. It is close to major hiking trails,
shopping, restaurants, golf, and post office. We are 15 minutes
from Sedona proper, with gorgeous red rock landmarks (Bell Rock,
Cathedral Rock, etc.) all the way, and less than 2.5 hours from the
Grand Canyon National Park and other major points of interest. We
are 1 hour from Flagstaff, and just over an hour to Sunset Crater National Monument, Wupatki Nat'l Mon. and Walnut Canyon National Monument via beautiful Oak Creek Canyon, or I-17, north, and about the same to Jerome, a wonderful historic mining town, and now artists' community. We are 15-30 minutes from Nat. Forest and Nat. Monument rock art and prehistoric dwelling sites south. The 15 minute drive from Oak Creek to "uptown" Sedona is a photographer's dream.
Our's is a very comfortable space, conveniently located. See "amenities" listed below. The master bedroom has it's own bathroom, and
a single as well as a queen bed. The second bedroom also has
a queen bed. Closet space is more than ample. The small rear covered
patio is accessed from both living room and bedroom. The covered
front porch has a delightful morning sitting area, with view of
Castle Rock. All linens are provided, and the kitchen is extremely well
equipped. Stove, washer and dryer are less than 5 years old. I provide laundry soap, and starting paper supplies and tissues
Phoenix International Airport to our place is an easy and
interesting 1.5 to 2 hour drive. A shuttle runs a regular schedule
between Phoenix and Sedona and the Village of Oak Creek.

activities and attractions in Sedona Arizona
The Village of Oak Creek/Sedona is surrounded by some of the most
gorgeous scenery in the west. With famous red rock buttes and
monoliths, pine and juniper forests, and its mild and sunny
climate, it is a premier place for easy or challenging hiking,
biking, photography, scenic drives, golf, and mining and native
American historical sites. Slide Rock State Park in Oak
Creek Canyon is a natural water playground. Red Rock State Park is a pleasure. The Village of Oak Creek has 3 golf courses, Snap Fitness, and the Hilton Spa. Sedona's art galleries
rival Santa Fe's. Are you a painter? It's a painter's paradise. Or take an art/media workshop or, if here long enough, sign up for a ceramics or painting course at the Sedona Art Center.
