The Main House of Casa Zorro (email us for photos!) is available for
your next dream vacation!!! The main house offers 2 bedrooms, 2
baths on the main floor from there you take bright red spiral
staircase to the second floor and the living/kitchen area. The
second level also offers a wonderful patio area with seating and
awesome views of the Carribean! From the patio, an exterior spiral
staircase takes you to the 3rd floor viewing/sun deck area where you
can relax and enjoy the views.
Casa Zorro and Casa Zorro Studios were carefully designed to ensure
privacy, convenience, relaxation and, most importantly, fantastic
views of the Caribbean. We'd be glad to fill you in on the best
places to eat, drink, and swim.
Our two studios (one on top of the other) are located next to the
main house and share the pool and privacy wall surrounding the
entire property with the main house. While it is just a 20 minute
ferry ride away, Isla Mujeres is far removed from the crass
commercialism and frantic energy of Cancun. If you are looking for a
relaxing place with some of the best beaches in the Caribbean, stop
looking---you have found Isla.
Our location in a local neighborhood called La Gloria affords both
stunning sunrises and breathtaking sunsets and views of the lights
of Cancun. For even greater impact, there is easy access to the
roof. There is a double-sized bed/lounger up there. It is the
perfect spot for sunbathing and star gazing. The view from up there
is truly unforgettable.
Additionally, the lower studio has a shaded porch and walks right
out to the pool. The upper studio has a balcony---both spots are
great places to take in the impressive colors of the Caribbean Sea.
Also, our home/casitas (studios) are just steps away from the cliff
overlooking the water. It is a fairly easy walk down to the beach
(much easier than many places along the coast). Once down there, you
can expect to find a slew of shells, interesting coral formations,
numerous tide pools, and NO PEOPLE. This is a great place for quiet
contemplation. Although swimming on this side of the island is not
generally recommended, you can snorkel here when the sea is calm.
Beyond the natural beauty that surrounds Casa Zorro, our location
ensures that travelers get into the local culture. Yes, we are
located across the street from the water, but we also enjoy the fact
that we are in one of the most vibrant local neighborhoods- La
Gloria. Within its streets you will find friendly locals, small
restaurants, many local-style convenience stores, internet cafes,
and stalls where you can buy juices and containers of fresh fruit
(perfect for smoothies in the morning!).
Taxis can be hailed easily from the street in front of Casa Zorro.
You should only pay 20 to 30 pesos ($2-$3 USD) to go to downtown. If
you are a little more adventurous, you can take the public bus for 4
pesos (about .40 cents). Either way, you can be on Playa Norte, one
of the most beautiful beaches in the world, in a matter of minutes.
Casa Zorro is: affordable, clean, comfortable, and
attractive. However, affordability was the first thing I listed for
a reason: we genuinely believe that vacations are restorative and
important. They should not be prohibitively expensive. If you don’t
spend a load of money on your room, you are able to spend it in some
of the great restaurants, colorful shops and vibrant bars the island
has to offer. In the long run, this is better for the island as a
whole.
Vacation Rental Amenities
Amenities: *Comfortable, queen-sized beds in every room (2 bedrooms
in the main house and one in each of the studios/casita.
*Every appliance you could possibly need while on vacation,
including a blender for mixing up cocktails & a coffeemaker to make
that fresh cup of coffee in the morning!
*Additionally, you will find a toaster oven, electric burner, and
griddle. The main house has a kitchen with a small stove/oven and a
propane barbeque.
*Casa Zorro faces the Caribbean so you will enjoy the cooling
breezes blowing over the island.
*If this breeze isn’t enough, however, you are free to use the
ceiling fan and/or A/C.
*There is a radio with IPod dock in both casitas and the
house.

While we request that you not smoke in the studios, you are more
than welcome to smoke anywhere outside.
I hate to do this, but I have a quick note: Although we are close to
Cancun, the vibe here is TOTALLY different. If you are looking for a
place to rent and then trash, please, please, please look elsewhere.
It is our goal to offer an affordable, relaxing haven. Isla is not
the place for debauchery (well, out-of-control debauchery, anyway :)
Vacation Rental Rates
*********Main House (2 bedroom/2bath)**********
$155/night - discount for stays of 14 nights or more and for
simultaneously renting the main house and both casitas.
*********Casitas/Studios (Upper or Lower Unit)**********
$75/night - discount for stays of 14 nights or more.
Rates in US Funds
A 50% deposit is required to confirm the reservation. This deposit
should be paid through paypal. Please keep in mind that the deposit
is non-refundable. There is a $150 damage deposit when renting the
main house.
The balance is due in a minimum of 60 days prior to your arrival.
Unless we have made special arrangements, we have a FOUR NIGHT
MINIMUM. Check-in time is 3 PM and check-out time is 11 AM.
The maximum number of guests per studio is limited to two people
(babies and small children are welcome, but you’ll need to bring
your own portable crib).
The house/studios will be thoroughly cleaned before your arrival,
and fresh linens and towels are provided. However, we do not provide
beach towels.
Your rental includes one weekly cleaning. Extra cleaning service can
be arranged for an additional fee.
Monthly rates are based on a 28 day month.

notice.
