restaurants, lovely botanical gardens and a fun zoo. There are many
scenic trails, drives and walks. The harbor offers sailing,
kayaking, whale watching, deep sea fishing as well as pier and shore
fishing. One can go horse back riding on the beach, swim, golf on
various courses and play tennis nearby. Enjoy the exciting game of
polo and horse shows in addition to other sporting events.
Santa Barbara abounds with an array of art and cultural events to
entertain you whether it is theatre, music, ballet or the symphony.
Art galleries and art museums abound. Meet the artists at weekly
open house art walks.

farmers market, buying fresh sea food directly from the boats or
dining at five star restaurants. Your palette and senses will be
constantly stimulated and satisfied.
Casa Alisos is a cozy place to base out of whether you are exploring

Absolutely perfect

A gorgeous, completely renovated cottage just off Milpas. Photos don't do it justice. Owner spared no expense on amenities, towels and sheets, dishes, appliances, decorating. Fabulous backyard w/ hammock, deck, lounge chairs, privacy. One-car garage. Super clean, beautiful colors inside, the landscaping is spectacular. We had an idyllic three nights away from reality in lovely Casa Alisos, Santa Barbara, and we'll be back as long as there's availability.

The cottage was even better than it promised to be - accurately advertised and depicted and stocked with everything you would need (and I mean everything - toilet paper, bath gel, sun block, zip lock bags, seasonings, paper towels) - except for your grocery purchases. I don't think there was an instant where we said, "Darn, wish we had brought that from home". There was a Bose radio, iPod charging station, and Wi-Fi. There is a list of amenities on the web site.

Amazingly livable for the small space of 788 sq ft. Large Master with King, sufficient and comfortable LR space, tiny but very nicely appointed kitchen, 2 full baths, small 2nd bdrm. Plenty of clothes hangers. The cottage The backyard was private with BBQ, table and chairs, hammock, and chaise lounges. Plenty of beach towels, umbrella, ice chest, chairs, etc. for enjoying the beach. If you're a walker - 20 min (brisk) to State Street.

The cottage is perfect for a couple but might get a little tight with an additional person. Because the baths are smaller than what we have at home, we each took a separate bathroom which really helped. Originally my niece was going to join us for 2 nights, but she had to cancel and we were actually relieved.

Bottom line - WE LOVED IT and would stay

Perfect for us!

As soon as we entered this house, I felt happy. That first view - the colors, the layout, the generous windows, the cleanliness - told me all I needed to know, and I continued to be delighted with the place. My husband and I found it to be comfortable, well-stocked, and charming. It proved to be an ideal home in which to enjoy the great Santa Barbara weather with great outdoor space, as well as a sweet home in which to welcome dinner guests. The kitchen is small but efficient and it had everything I needed to prepare meals (including useful, sharp knives!). We were happy to return there at the end of each day and wake up there each morning. Perfect for our needs. One evening we made dinner for our son and his wife and for another newly-engaged young couple. When the soon-to-be bride arrived and looked around, she declared that this house was her "dream house." I already know the dates of our next visit to Santa Barbara in October and am bummed that this charming home is not available. I sure hope we will get to stay here again sometime.

Owners response: What a wonderful review. Thank you. I really appreciate folks taking the time to share their impressions of Casa Alisos as I have put a lot of love and care into the cottage.
