Vacation Rental Description

Perched on a hilltop in beautiful Linville Land Harbor, Bear Ridge 
Cottage provides a cozy retreat for a couple, or an active 
family's vacation.  With 2 bedrooms (king-size and twin beds), 
sleeper sofa, and 2 full baths, Bear Ridge comfortably accommodates 
1-6 people and a well-behaved pet! 

Two decks (one built around a big tree) with patio tables and a 
grill offer cool breezes and a great place for morning coffee or a 
picnic supper.  Windows all around bring light and nature indoors.  
Amenities include a gas-log fireplace, Jacuzzi whirlpool bathtub, 
dishwasher, and washer/dryer.

All bed and bath linens are provided, along with a well-equipped 
kitchen.  Snacks, books, games, TV/VCR/DVD, movies, CD player, 
Internet access, and visitors' information await your arrival. Baby 
care items are available. 

The 4000-foot altitude ensures Spring wildflowers, cool Summers, and 
spectacular Fall colors. A gas fireplace adds Winter warmth as you 
rest from hiking or skiing and watch the snowflakes drift by. 

Linville Land Harbor, a casual friendly mountain resort, is in the 
midst of all the attractions of the Blue Ridge Parkway and North 
Carolina mountains. It is ten minutes from the unique ecosphere of 
Grandfather Mountain, with the Highland Games in July, and its Mile-
High Bridge and nature centers year-round. Ski and snowboard at 
nearby Sugar Mountain, or visit Appalachian Ski Mountain to ice 
skate.  Linville Falls, Linville Gorge, and Linville Caverns are 
must-sees for hikers and nature lovers. Nearby mountain towns 
provide great food, shopping, festivals, museums, excellent medical 
care, and lots of atmosphere! 

You will enjoy Linville Land Harbor's heated swimming pool, tennis 
courts, golf course, and trout-stocked lake. There are miles of 
pathways and winding roads for walking or biking. During winter, LLH 
is very accessible from Highway 221, and the resort's maintenance 
crew keeps roads scraped. LLH also has an on-site security service. 

4 SKI RESORTS within 20 miles offer downhill skiing, tubing, 
sledding, snowboarding, and ice skating. 5 GOLF COURSES are within 
20-minute drives. We are just five minutes from milepost 310 of the 
Blue Ridge Parkway. Blowing Rock, Boone, Banner Elk, Beech Mountain 
and Spruce Pine are 10-30 minutes away. In one hour, you can be at 
the Biltmore House in Asheville. We're truly in the center of
