Balboa Island Cottage - Seabreeze and Bayview in Newport Beach

Balboa Island Cottage is comprised of BayView and SeaBreeze;
both upstairs and downstairs flats are sunny, charming, and spacious
with Balboa Island water views. They are one block from an open-air
food market, unique shopping, Starbucks, sticky buns, many fine
restaurants, and Balboa Island frozen bananas, a local speciality.
BayView and SeaBreeze are just steps away from the island Boardwalk,
the sandy beach, and the boat moorings.
BayView will sleep up to six people with a master bedroom, a
ship Captains sleeping quarters, and a library bedroom with a queen
sofa bed. A detailed description is under BayView. SeaBreeze will
sleep up to six people with three bedrooms; a queen bed, two
twins/king, and a double bed.
Both the BayView and SeaBreeze offer a memorable vacation
experience for a family or a romantic getaway for a couple. Both are
also a perfect solution for relocating executives.

Bayview

The lower level cottage is simply called BayView because of its
view to the bay. It is stunning with a high vaulted spacious living
room. A big gas fireplace centers the room separating the living and
dining areas.
It is arranged to sleep up to six people with a Master bedroom,
a Library bedroom, and a Ship Captain’s Sleeping Quarters. There are
two queen size beds and a double sofa bed. The Master bedroom has an
antique hand carved four poster mahogany bed; much like an original
Balboa Island cottage would have had. It has a large closet area with
mirrored doors that give the room a sparkle. The Library bedroom
features bookshelves, cable TV, and VCR, as well as a stereo/CD
player. The Ship Captain’s Quarters with a mirrored interior and pull
across curtains will delight children and adults alike.
The kitchen is fully equipped and large enough to keep any
gourmet cook happy. There is a dishwasher, garbage disposal, and
compactor. The stunning large 4 foot black and white bathing beauty
photo at the end of the kitchen is a relative who used to summer at
the island and who is now “the keeper of the kitchen.”
Of course most of the summer you will want to be outside on the
charming patio, with a view of the water and boats; soaking up the
sun. Or barbequing and dining out surrounded by greenery. Enjoy a
small slice of heaven.
There is a washer and dryer. Also available is private garage
parking for a car.

Seabreeze

SeaBreeze overlooks Balboa Island. There is a view of the green
hills of Newport Beach and of Balboa Bay with the picturesque boats
at moorings.
The décor recalls memories of a local historic beach community
called Crystal Cove with original art depicting the area as it once
was. The owners, having owned a home at Crystal Cove for many years,
have recreated an authentic beach home. Decorated in beach colors of
sand and sky blue shades, it feels like an upscale comfortable beach
house with all the conveniences to ensure a memorable vacation.
The living room is large with high vaulted ceilings. Using
nautical colors and fabulous boat pictures you feel like you are at
home on the water. Furniture is slip covered in blue denim with pine
furniture and accessories. There is cable TV and a VCR. A large white
slip covered chair and ottoman are positioned to sit and read or to
view the Bay; so very relaxing. Or watch a fire in the fireplace from
the dining area or the living room. This is island living at its
best, comfortable, convenient, and laid back.
The SeaBreeze has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and sleeps six.
A four poster queen bed; a trundle bed that is a king or two twins;
and a delightful antique iron cottage bed. There are built in closets
and drawers, and lots of them.
The kitchen is large and equipped for gourmet cooking, with a
dishwasher and garbage disposal. The view overlooks the island while
you cook.
There are separate washer and dryer facilities. Also ask about
the availability of a garage parking spot, very important for island
living.

Protected from the pounding Pacific Ocean, surrounded by sandy
beaches and a secluded bay, Balboa Island is tucked away in a
beautiful coastal region off the coast of Southern California. It is
famous for its fabulous weather, outdoor activities, and the best of
the pleasures of life. Just minutes away from the finest shopping in
sunny California at South Coast Plaza, Balboa Island has incredible
