With a group of 13, I was debating between this house and another house. The best decision I made for the trip was to rent this house. It was beautiful and clean! All 13 of us enjoyed the amount of space and linens and towels avaliable for us.

The kitchen was big enough for everyone to cook and there were enough pots and pans. Loved how there were spices available to us, which we forgot to bring up.

We enjoyed the fireplace, which was electrical, so the smell of wood burning in the house did not exist. 13 of us were able to gather around the spacious living room and open our secret santa gifts =]

The beds were very comfortable and the bedrooms were spacious!

As city people, we enjoyed how secluded we were. The fire pit out in the back was perfect for our smores' even in the cold! We loved everything about the house and considered doing this annually (and renting this house annual, if available).

LOVE LOVE LOVED! the place, can't say it enough. Definitely recommend this place. And Marie was easy to work with! We had to leave a little bit later than we thought and she did not give us a hassel. Very reasonable woman. MUST RENT THIS PLACE, definitely a home away from home!

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, people with disabilities, families with teenagers, girls getaway

Nice place-would definitely return!

We used this house for a ladies weekend. The house was clean, well supplied and very comfortable for us. We each had our own bedroom and were glad they were all on the same floor. We got lost finding the place but a phone call to the owner resulted in quick and accurate directions that got us there safely. The nearby activities made for a fun weekend: Bushkill Falls, Flea Market, outlets in Tannersville. Dingman's falls was closed and has been for some time. There is lots of road construction in the area: Route 209 and at I-80 and 209. The nearby shopping center has a great food market and the pizza place, Bovino's Pizza, was terrific and very friendly. Recommend dinner at the Walpack Inn on the Jersey side of the river in Walpack Center. They feed the deer so they come up to the windows while you are eating. The owner returned my security deposit promptly. All in all - a terrific experience.

I have been gathering with my hometown friends and their husbands for over 30 years, and we never miss the opportunity to get together. When I found this house in the Poconos, it seemed a perfect fit for the 10 of us. It was clean, close to activities - we went to Bushkill falls - and the backyard firepit only added to the cozy feel we had. Ten people hung out in the kitchen, lazed by the fire and watched the World Series in front of the tv - and we could easily have fit more comfortably. We barbequed the first night and had dinner in Stroudsburg the next. Since we have been friends for so long, sharing bathrooms was not a problem for us (there are 2 full). The last couple to arrive got the last of the five bedrooms - which had full-size bunk beds - good for a couple with kids, but somewhat tricky for 5 married couples!!! We had a good laugh and it didn't seem to dampen the good time. So, if you are 5 couples, you may want to keep that in mind. We had a kitchen with all the amenities, plenty of towels, and a quiet neighborhood, with our house feeling secluded - and we had plenty of parking. Even with all that, the owner Marie is a dream to work with - she was prompt with her correspondence, informative, and she answered all my questions. If you've ever thought about ditching the hotels and bed and breakfasts for a more private, homey vacation with others - this is the way to go.
