Vacation Rental Description

Our home is located directly on the widest part of the Homosassa River. No Canals here. It is a 3 Bedroom, Bonus room,  
2.5 bath.

Vacation Rental Amenities

Features include long dock with deck and plenty of room to moor several boats if needed. Out on the dock is a covered  
lanai with table, chairs, ceiling fan and gas grill. Perfect for relaxing and cooking that days catch right off the boat. On the  
back of the house is a fully covered tri-level deck with plenty of seating to watch the manatees swim by. 
 
Inside you will find 3 King size beds, 1 Queen size, 3 twins and a pullout sofa giving plenty of room to even the largest  
families. There is an air hockey table as well. Four TV's, all with cable. The living room has a VCR/CD player as well. The  
kitchen is fully equipped with range, oven, microwave, double side refrigerator with ice maker, coffee pot and full size  
washer and dryer.

Activities and Attractions

Whether it is fishing, golf, swimming, skiing or doing absolutley nothing, this is the perfect getaway. 
 
Head down river and you will be in some of the best fishing that the Gulf Coast has to offer. There is great fishing for  
Trout, Redfish, Cobia, Tarpon, Grouper, Snapper with occassional Snook. A few minutes down the river is McRays  
which hosts several fishing tournaments a year including the largest Cobia Tournament I have ever seen. I have  
caught some of the largest Grouper I have ever caught in 11 feet of water and a mile out in the Gulf. This is one of  
the best shallow water Grouper sites in the world as shown on ESPN. It is a fly fishing meca for Tarpon. You haven't  
lived until you have a 130 pound fish attached to a fly rod. There are plenty of guides for all types of fishing if you are  
looking for a pro's help. 
 
Homosassa also hosts one of the most spetacular golf courses in Florida. World of Woods is a 36 hole golf course locate  
less then 15 minutes from our house. Both courses have been rated as top 100 courses. There is also a 9 hole short  
course, 3 warm up holes and a practice facility that you have to see to believe. 
 
After fishing and golf, you can go water skiing right behind the house (except Oct 1 - April 30, manatee season). Being  
on the Catherine's bay is like having a lake in your back yard. Jet Ski, water ski or tube. It is a great time. 
 
Head upriver a few minutes and you will be in the heart of the Homossasa springs. Anchor your boat and swim with  
the manatees or just enjoy a cool beverage and relax. This is a great place to spend the day in the summer. 
 
Also a must is the Homosassa Springs State Wildlife Park located 3 minutes from the house. View the Springs via their  
underwater room. You will see hundreds of fish including some of the largest snook I have seen. Watch the Manatees  
swim right up to you. This is the best part of the park. There are also many animal exibits throughout the park and is  
a great way to spend an afternoon.
