Michaels. The large historic house is air conditioned
and restored in the Eastern Shore style can very
comfortably accommodate ten people. Bay Cottage boasts
exceptional accommodations and amenities including:
waterviews from every room, swimming pool at the
water's edge, yard with beautiful gardens, hammocks
under mature shade trees, deep water harbor, sundeck
at the dock, enclosed screen porch, stone fireplaces,
classic decor with quality furnishings, large library
collections of books and magazines, private parking,
and a long tree-lined driveway.
Our bedrooms have high-quality queen size beds, private baths,
water views, and high quality liens. There is a room with single
bed(s). Special arrangements can add sailing charters, fishing
charters, kayaks, canoes, spa services, or a

The grounds: waterside pool, private cove, private harbor, dock,
sundeck on piling to watch sunrise and sunset, point of land with 3

The house: Every room has a private bath, water views, finest
linens. Full kitchen, stone fireplae in living room, formal dining
room, waterfront porch room, library (hundreds of books), satalite
TV, Washer/dryer, phone, VCR, DVD, high-speed internet connections
and much much more.

The historic village of St. Michaels is just a short bike ride or a
nice walk from Bay Cottage. It is an enjoyable Chesapeake Bay harbor
town well known to sailors and bay visitors for its fine boutique
shops, crab and seafood restaurants and the acclaimed Chesapeake Bay
Maritime Museum. Sailing charters and boat tours leave regularly
from the harbor. The St. Michaels area offers several excellent golf
courses and cycling enthusiasts appreciate the level scenic roads.
Kayaking and canoeing are very popular on the creeks of the
beautiful Miles River and our Long Haul Creek. In season, many
excellent professional fishing charters are available as is guided
waterfowl and deer hunting on bountiful Chesapeake reserves. Nature
surrounds Bay Cottage with local swans, deer, waterfowl, crabs,
fish, herons, osprey, etc., and the 900-acre Jean duPont Audubon
Sanctuary is just down the road. Bay culture is found in the
performance of the historic Avalon Theater, the Academy of the Arts,
and the summer evening outdoor concerts. Perhaps the greatest
pleasures are found at Bay Cottage savoring the special quiet of the
Chesapeake in the refreshing pool, on a hammock under a tree, or on
the lawn with an evening cocktail looking across the water. Bay
